Long rumored sale of The Yuck became official today. Media mogul William Glover officially closed the deal obtaining sole ownership of the club. "Cassville fans can rejoice today. Today marks the beginning of a new era in the fabled history of the Yuck" William boldly proclaimed at the sale's press conference.
The acquisition began a couple of weeks ago and once majority ownership had been obtained he began his vision. Glover brought in Enrico Capelletto, a new PR manager, and non Busch brand refreshments at home games. These moves got the rumors swirling of changes on the horizon. William did release one final press release before retiring for the evening. "I have been a longtime Yuck fan. I got green in my veins. We have a plan in place to take this franchise to a bold new place. Some will say Harold Katz got stagnant and greedy bilking this club over the years. I am here to say They Yuck are healthy and strong and ready to push for a title. The cupboard is not bare. Harold did a good job of building up the arena and developing good young talent that can succeed at the next level. Libiao, Waldrop and now Capelleto have the potential to be superstars. We also have the money to make a move or two at the deadline if we need to. Exciting times to be a Yuck fan".
Additional moves were made today. William brought in his grandson Christopher Glover to be a player manager. The 33 yo power forward will fill the role of 4th big on the roster while assuming head coaching duties. William also signed his youngest grandson Mikey Glover to what some call a courtesy contract. He is young but nobody thinks he has more than starter potential. Look for more Glovers to be added to the Yucks payroll.
