In only their second year in existence, the Sons of Vulcan will be hosting Season 20's League V.92 All-Star Week activities. Both players and fans expect the added attention that will descend on The Forge at Mount Etna to be nothing but a boost to a team on the rise. After a mediocre start to the season, the Sons head into the all-star on a five-game win streak.
The sole Sons all-star on the team, power forward Yonatan Amichai, was humble when questioned about both his election to the all-star team and the fact that it is being played in his team's home city: "הכדורסל היה לי טוב. אני אוהב לשחק. הצוות יהיה מארח טוב. האורחים יוכלו ליהנות. תיהנו."
Aaron Yancey, point guard for the Sons, made it into the 3-point competition for the second year in a row, having placed second last year. This year he has taken only 56 shots from beyond the arc, but he is shooting them at a 48% clip. Yancey said, "You know, people will say that I can't shoot like these other guys, but I take the shots that I get, I don't force anything, and I hit almost half my shots. I don't see how that's a bad thing. Maybe winning this thing will quiet the doubters."
