The Blue Crabs started off strong, forging to a 27 – 18 lead at the end of the first quarter shooting a remarkable 48% from the field, with SF Moyer, coming off the bench shooting 100% for 9 points. Vakias’s two big men, Mboma and Moses were non-factors throughout the game, though PF Norton proved to be a huge factor, finishing the game with a double double, shooting 50% for 37 points and 12 rebounds.

The first half ended with the Blue Crabs shooting much worse than the first quarter, enabling the steady 36% for Vakias to bring them within 3. The third quarter played out much the same, with the final period proving to be the moment that the Blue Crabs turned on the accelerator, having seven players finish in double digits scoring.

All in all, the Blue Crabs reminded everyone why they’re in the hunt for the top spot in the Great 8 division of V.16. Vakias, with a new manager, is still getting his feet underneath him, but looks promising with the future of Norton. Perhaps next season will be a different story for Vakias as they build on his success.

-Hunter Flores rips a pass, gives it to Karlis Berzinskas and he nails the shot in.Crabs up 10 and it's not looking to good for the Vakias. At the end Crabs maintain fire and win 106-84.

Commentary:
I was dissapointed in the way the Vakias played this game today. They put on a good show up until the 4th Quarter where they seemed to lose interest in winning. They must've forgot that the sport is basketball and the sport requires focus, team chemistry, and execution.Without those three elements a team would never win.Vakias were just stingy with the ball tonite Jacob. One man scored and his name is J. Norton. This man had a great night tonite over 30 points and 12 rebounds. a triple double for him.His team just couldn't heat up off of him and they just failed. On the other hand kudos goes out to the Blue Crabs who took this game into their own hands.I'm impressed in the way this team passed the ball tonite.Everyone that played scored and 7 had at least 10 points. That is great focus, execution, and team chemistry to do that.Lion Rebels look out because the Crabs are really trying to win this conference and if they played like this everynight...They'd be unstoppable.
