National Team Contest

In an effort to get both more of the community interested in and involved with the National Team I wanted to announce a small National Team Contest. Depending on how well this goes, more may be held in the future, consider this a test run. This contest will only have one winner and will take place only in Season 62 (and a little bit the start of S63). The prize is your choice of a year of Utopia subscription or 3 months supporter. If this draws enough interest then prizes in the future might get better.

The rules are straightforward. Whoever earns the most points from the items listed below will be the winner. In the event of a tie the reward will go to the player with the longest team history (though a tie is unlikely). All USA team managers are eligible to earn points and a select few non-USA teams managers that help with NT.

Here is the list of ways to earn points. I recognize that many are subjective, but there isn’t a better way I could come up to do it. I promise not to play favorites.

- Have a player make the National Team (4 points)
- Have a player in 9 GS on the National Team Depth Chart at least half the season (2 points)
- Have a player make the National Team Depth Chart, but not the roster (2 points)
- Have a player ranked as the top of their class at the start of S63 (6 points)
- Have a player ranked as 2nd in their class at the start of S63 (4 points)
- Have a player ranked as 3rd in their class at the start of S63 (2 points)
- Have the prospect ranked “best overall” at the start of S63 (2 points in addition to the top of their class)
- Be the first to answer NT trivia* (1 point)
- Earn the “top fan” award by being the most involved in cheering on the National Team during games on the USA discord (3 points)
- Help out the NT** (2 points)
- Buy a prospect ranked in the top 3 of their class in S62 from the transfer list (2 points)
- Buy a player on the National Team Depth Chart from the transfer list (2 points)


*This season at the start of every National Team game I will have a National Team trivia question involving National Team players in the past or games.The first to answer it wins the point.

(These points may be modified within the next week, but will be locked in by the first game on Monday). The competition will end during the first week of Season 63.
