Season 60 u21s is into the 2nd round and we have a very tough drawif we are to aim for a semi final game. We start this week against UAE before facing Taiwan, and later on Hong Kong.
Up to now, we have had soft games and have begun with a 6-0 start. This is all about to change! Below is a list of mvps up to this point.
Vs Malaysia
3- Bell
2- Neal
1- Southeran
Vs south Korea
3- Timmins
2- Bell
1- Neal
(For them, it was M Park, B Park, and B Park. J Park was unlucky, though).
Vs Macau, I actually can't pick! There is 7 guys you could put into 3 spots, and the order could be debated. 4 guys had double doubles, Tiimins with 16pts/10 assists/5 boards and+47 could be a front runner, but the FG efficiency of Watmough/grain off the bench was exceptional, whereas the starters didn't have FG% dominance. I will probably go with the starters that destroyed them when the game was pulled apart (most influential). That still leaves a huge headache.
What about:
3- Tiimins with 16pts/10 assists/5 boards and +47
2- Neal- 20pts/6 assists/4 steals/3 boards and +40
1- Grahn- 23pts, 9-14 FG, 3 ass, 2 boards
Special mention to watmough, vidic, Arthur and southeran, who were all dominant in their positions.
Vs Kazakstan was another hard one, but I'll go with:
3- Neal 17pts, 9 boards, 4 rebs.
2- Timmins 16pts, 6 assists, 4 rebs
1- Southeran 16rebs, 5 blocks 8pts on 4-5 shooting. Nice defensive game.
Vs Phillipines
3- Neal- 32pts
2- Timmins- 25pts, 5 assists. Line ball for top votes.
1- Bell 11pts, 11 rebs, 3 ass
Vs NZ
3- Bajalovic 17pts, 7 boards, 3 ass.
2- Vidic 11pts, 10 boards
1- Watmough 14pts, 9 boards.
Some great numbers coming from players that are consistently starting early. Bell, Neal and Timmins the 3 front runners at this stage. Let's see how the 2nd round matches play out against the tougher lineups.
