McKinley Marauders 73 - Deportivo Saprissa 104
Both teams decided to go up tempo! The coach for the Saprissa was horribly wrong in his preparation for the game, which caused some rift between the Saprissas' players and coaching staff. Nonetheless, the players went out and crushed the hopes of any McKinley fans with a convincing victory. Mi Zongtang led the way with a double double, nabbing 18 points along with 18 rebounds.
Tasty Tardsicles 73 - Drunken Sconnies 86
Match was closer than anticipated, with the Tardsicles players looking like they were the ones hungry for the victory more. Sconnies were a bit lazy, but their stifling zone defense led by Paul Wilks (8 blocks) helped control the pace of the game and gave Sconnies the victory. Castro Nadal had a magnificent game, tallying 38 points on 49% shooting.
Persevering Pride 78 - Cassville Yuck 71
This was an ultra defensive showdown. Bricks, turnovers, fouls. You'd think Westbrook and Ben Simmons were playing tonight. Yuck had a 57-47 lead going into the 4th quarter, however Pride put forth a crazy comeback, scoring 31 points in the final period to snag the W. Ghasi Ram shot the best in this brickfest, going 8 for 12 with 20 points in this contest.
HipsterBears 102 - Myopic Marauders 115
Back and forth match throughout for these teams. Seemed like the offensive showdown you'd want to see coming outta D2. However in the 4Q Myopic Marauders edged out, taking a commanding lead and convincing victory. A couple stats that stand out is Myopic shot a bit better (48.3% vs. Hipsters' 46%) and made 10 more shots from the charity stripe, which proved to be the blow for the Bears. 3 Marauders with 20+ points as Telios (27 points) led the team to victory.
Hayward Lumberjacks 100 - Doctors of WI 88
Solid and efficient shooting outing from the Lumberjacks proved to be the difference in this contest (50%). Not many instances you'll see a team shooting 33% win in a match, which is what the Doctors shot. Steve Diggs shot an impressive 71% from the field en route to his 23 points while their impressive defense helped get the win.
Kurgans 64 - Mountain Eagles 88
Score looks closer than what the game actually entailed. Eagles raced to a 61-20 halftime lead before coach decided to rest the starters a bit, enabling Kurgans to cut it to a 24 point deficit by the end of the outing. Rebounding (60 to 39) and impressive defense by the Eagles, led by John Kelly's 18 points with 22 rebounds sealed the win.
[Insert Name] 108 - Jim Almeidas Janitor Crew 63
Impressive stomping victory for Name here, as they grab the biggest margin of win for the night in II.1 Rosenlöf was shooting lights out, going 54% from the field and 46% from three, to tally 37 strong points for his squad. Fang Yujing did his best, but 26 points on 1 efficiency wasn't enough to help the Janitor Crew out.
Blue Vikings 61 - Tulsa Tomatoes 80
From the looks of it we got another brickfest over here. Both teams shooting sub 35%, comes down to which team made more baskets. In the end it was Tulsa who did, making 5 more baskets in total (including +7 three pointers to Blue Vikings). Jacyna was a huge contributor to that, hitting 4 from downtown and having 20 points to help cap off a 19 point win for Tulsa.
