Hey Guys,
I'm looking into building a Princeton Squad. I may through the odd game in their for GPD surprise, but I want to really make my team run it well in D4.

What are the top 3 skills at each position for you other than defense?

Remember

Princeton: outside/inside focus (fewer 2 point jump shots, regarded as outside by GDP), decreased pace.

I'm guessing...

PG: Jumpshot, Driving. Passing
SG: Jumpshot, Jump Range, Passing
SF: Jumpshot, Driving, Inside Shot
PF: Inside Shot, Driving, Jumpshot
C: Inside Shot, Driving, Rebounding

I imagine Jump range in fairly limited across the team except prime or secondary 3 point shooting options.

Anyone have any stats on Usages for princeton?

I'll be keeping track of all my stats across the next season as I try to widdle down this tactic.

As always any suggestions are appreciated.

Cheers!

The other reason why I ask because I was thinking about getting 3-4 evenly skilled players and using them more of less as an control group. However, I want to know if I buy players respectable in 3-5 of the same skills what 3 skills should I shoot for?

Maybe 3 players with respectable in all of the following skills...
Passing
Jumpshot
Inside shot
Outside Defense
Inside Defense

Any Suggestions on this idea?

for princeton,

I like passing on pg and center.

jumpshot, jump range on sg en sf.
jumpshot on pf.

Driving is to create own shot in this game, with princeton a slow offense handling and passing is more important.

I would start like that and maybe tweak a little when you understand the offense better.

I wouldn’t spend that kind of money on either of those players. Try to focus on building your arena up right now and training some of your own guys so that you can get more familiar with the game!

I agree I won't sell the farm but I'm ok with being a little short sighted.

I like using my team as a case study. I don't play seriously enough to have NBBA aspirations. In fact I used to have a team back in season 16 through 21.

My biggest grievance and why I left was I postponed enjoyment of this game because thought I had to play a very postposing gratification style.

I'm looking for a way to enjoy the current season. So I'm looking for archetypes.

For example, I have a SF/PF trainee. I think he would make a good bench guy if I stick to Princeton long term. He is all-star potential. I know he is a waste to train but someone has to be a 3rd (for single position) or 5th/6th trainee (for 2-position) and I will always probably throw this guy into training.

What would you estimate should be his ideal build?

For example how would this buildout look to you for a SF/PF in a Princeton offense?

Grain of salt this is what I saw playing Princeton recently.

So far my breakdown playing Princeton is 40% attempts are 3 pointers.
Most shots get down towards the end of the shot clock.
30% shots come in the paint.
1/3 of paint shots were from my center.
FGA were very even with 17 at SG and 12 at C.
Positions 1-3 shot almost 50% of attempts from 3.
PF shot 1/3 of shots from 3.
SG still took the most shots and threes despite me playing a center at the 2 for minutes.
Forwards and Center were the only players to draw fouls while shooting.

It does appear very 4 out 1 in offensively.

Passing seems to be a big deal in this tactic as I had nearly double my opponent in turnovers. (I was playing players out of position though.)
