A big game last night but we came up short against Lithuania. This seals our fate to the consolation tourney this season. We performed well though against a CT!

You could throw a blanket over the starters for MVPs, a case could be made for all 5. Im going with:

3- Anderson
2- Hollinshead
1- Impey

Tough loss. Might have had a shot if we didn't have an injury.

That's the luck of the draw though, Lithuania has the easy game last so they could afford to CT.

Lets do our best in the consolation tourney and try get HCA

Game 3 was a dead rubber vs Canada. I probably should have normally it but was extra cautious not dipping our enthusiasm below 5 before the enthusiasm reset.
Mvps
3- Bloxham
2- MacGillivray
1- Holley

Last night we started our hunt for next seasons home court advantage. We started off with a tough fought win over the Netherlands. You could throw a blanket over or starting 5 with equal contribution amongst all 5, making voting very tricky. Shooting efficiency stood a few out above 50%

Mvps
3- Holley 13pts, 6 boards, 6 assists and 3 steals. 0 turnovers.
2- MacGillivray 16pts on 5-9 shooting, 4 boards 4 assists
1- Jaiswal 13pts on 50% shooting, 10 boards and 4 blocks.

Tonight we took Czech Republic in a good fight. With a 22-21 first quarter, it looked like we were in an interesting battle. Buzzerbeater has a funny way of doing that. I did notice that only 6 guys were taking the field, and as the game wore on it took its toll on their efficiency. The patient offense was working well and their SG did well against a 3-2 zone. Our guards also had some great efficiency and their stamina didn't seem to affect efficiency. Between Anderson and MacGillivray they went 66% FG.

MVPs
3- Anderson- 23pts, 8-13FG, 4 assists, 3 boards, 0 turnovers.
2- MacGillivray- 20pts, 8-14FG, 4 3pters, 5 boards, 0 turnovers.
1- Wallwork- 8pts, 10 boards, 4 assists.

Next up, Nigeria. If you are a manager of the u21 players, im hoping you have clear direction as to what pops will help out u21s team improve. This will also help your players weekly minutes in the side. If you are not sure, or would like to discuss, please bbmail me, im trying to touch base with people to keep communication open but dont write down or record conversations.

Doing well team!

MVPs vs Sth Korea
3- Iseman- 13pts on 45%FG, 6 boards, 3 assists.
2- MacGillivray- 13pts on 50% FG (only starter on 50%FG), 4 boards and kept his opponent to 2-19FG.
1- Wallwork- nice double double with 12pts 13boards off the bench. Added 3 assists.

And with that we await our next opponent in a knockout match. Stuff gets real from now, and we try to be last Asian team standing. Game on!

Happy for Iseman to steal the MVP for the game. Thought for sure Wallwork would win it

Iseman started and top scored, shot close to 50%fg, had 6 boards and 3 rebounds, and had a +- of +25. He didn't foul and kept his direct opponent to 4-20. All of these things contributed to my decision. Macgillivray also had high output with 50% efficiency and kept his opponent to 2-19! So he takes the 2 votes. Wallwork had a great 3 stat combo, but then you look a little further... he did it in junk time, and his efficiency was down with only 6-15FG%, only +10 in +-, and had 2 fouls. His direct opponent was the PF starter who until he checked in for junk time was only on 8pts, but then went to town on wallwork and finished on 24pts. A lot of info to weigh up but I think to 2 starters we're more important to winning the match.
