The roster for the game against Italia U21 is set. We have strong inside players (MacInally, Blair and backups Elphinstone and Clanachan), but we do not even have 5 players to form a starting five that can compete against top 50 teams. Therefore, we will not win many games this season. We might win 2-3 games.

I don't think we should care about the ranking at the moment. We have lots of new talents aged 18 or 19 who will form a stronger team than the one we have now. So we should focus on the development of those players, in order to win more games in Season 56 (when the 19 year olds are 21). These are all the players I could find in Utopia and Scotland. Feel free to contact me if you found other players that we should consider for the team:

Guards:

Scott Lawson (49686063), 19
Ryan MacVurie (49688774), 19
Kyle Lyon (49392760), 19
Morgan MacGlashan (49687655), 19
Torquil MacCooish (49687408), 18
James Risk (49687729), 19
Brian MacGrowther (49690971), 18
George Owens (49691075), 19
Morgan Schaw (49690884), 19
Mirosław Klugiewicz (49688634), 19

Forwards/Centers
William Augustine (49690860), 18
Cameron MacCorquodale (49690874), 18
Patrick Cruden (49691038), 19
Gary Boyes (49691049), 18
Ivar MacCutcheon (49688139), 19
David Abercrombie (49687384), 18
Paul Sherry (49688751), 19
James MacKersey (49690936), 18
Brian Mowat (49690929), 19
Alaistar Philipson (49688895), 19
Robert Hardy (49690876), 18
Rick Gossett (49690892), 18
Daniel MacMaurice (49690850), 18

23 players aged 18 or 19. If 50% of these receive perfect training, we will have a great team in season 56. I am contacting every manager who owns one of these players in the upcoming days to discuss their training. So far, the managers of several players have committed to training them. Great news!

This is also the reason why the current roster is limited to 12 players: The remaining 6 spots will be given to 18 or 19 year olds during the season in order to improve their experience. Scott Lawson (49686063) is already part of the team as his starting skills were incredible and his manager is devoted to train him.

My goals as the team's manager for the following two seasons therefore are:
1) Help develop a competitive team for the tournament in S56 (and the seasons after that, of course)
2) Win as many games as possible (obviously )

Any questions or remarks? We can discuss the team's development here or you can send me a mail.

There's only one way we can reach our goals: We have to work together!

Alba gu bràth!

Great! And Lawsons Manager was in my Utopia-League 2-3 seasons ago, if I remember correctly. He seems to know what he‘s doing so it‘s awesome that he had such am amazing draft. I‘m really looking forward to see the development of the u21 (and NT as well, obviously). I guess we‘re already headed into the right direction and are picking up speed.

Busy weeks for me, which is why you had to wait for new updates until today. Not all managers have been contacted about their trainees yet, but I will soon catch up with that.

I was able to thoroughly think through my strategies for the first two games. Losing to Italy wasn't a surprise. Going TIE against Luxembourg was risky (or as the Italian manager called it in a PM: ballsy) and we were not rewarded for taking that risk. The game was at 82-82 at the end and it could have gone either way...

So now our losing streak sits at 8 (6 friendlies, 2 tournament games), but I am excited about our 18 and 19 year olds and what the future holds for us. Many players have been bought by managers who are devoted to training them and that puts a smile on my face

The wins will come, "ballsy" tactics will be rewarded.

Yes, it was. The game was close until the very last minute. It reminds me of that game against Belarus last season, we're not rewarded for taking a risk.

If I could go back, however, I'd set the same tactics again...

Yes. But to make winning easier, it would be great if the players get full training. Thanks for the up for MacKersey, that's very much appreciated! And I expect more, of course. He's supposed to be replacing David Doles which is not too easy.

But looking at Daniel MacMaurice: it's great that you're willing to sell him. But until he gets sold, he's losing training if you don't let him play 48+ minutes at the training position. I cannot buy him at the moment, but you'll probably find someone who will - and it gets easier if he gets ups. Thanks in advance!

I agree with Wendell! And Gossett needs 48+ minutes every week too!

Mails have now been sent to all managers. In the past, many managers didn't answer my mails and some that agreed on a training plan never followed it. If we agree on a plan, please stick to it! It's the only way we can build a strong team.
