I have been playing at Buzzerbeater for, I think, 10 years already. I started when I was at high school, checking together with my friends at break time the training pop-ups on Friday, creating our own leagues using scrimmages to compete with each other (we were students with no money so Supporter was not an option at that time). I remember using my Blackberry with a very small screen to zoom-in and try to read something, with an EDGE network that took half of the break time to actually load the training page.

Then I started University and, that intense period of time made me think I was grown-up enough to not to play at BB anymore, so I lost my team -as most of my high school friends did-, but after a few years, I was still missing how the game was, its pace (which was not too demanding, it required a few minutes a day) and I came back with a new team that somehow reflected the experiences I have had for the last years (you can feel the Chinese influence in my team after living there for a while haha).

Since then, in my most adult period of time, I had moments where I have been extremely busy because of work -but I still managed to keep my team up to date- or another moments where I have had looots of free time, so I had spent a bit more of time with the game -without being too adictive, something that games nowadays try to insist on-, I had travelled and lived in many places but still Buzzerbeater was there, with it slow, but consistent pace that made me feel connected to the game without abusing it.

It is obvious that Buzzerbeater is not perfect and the 10000 threads talking about bugs, losing players and complaints reflect some weaknesses of the game, but is somehow the only game that managed to have me playing it since 2009, regardless of who I am or where I am or what I am doing in that precise period of time. I know there are updates coming which might change the dynamics of the game, but even if they do I will be more than happy to welcome them and try to enjoy them as much as I have done until now.

So, in a world where most of the things are now instant, superficial and ephemeral, a game like Buzzerbeater managed to remain as the main entertainment for a millennial like me, so kudos to staff, supporters and players that keep making this possible.

I joined 2007 , that year we were playing hattrick and one day somebody told us there is a basketball manager game , come and join , from that time i'm in love with buzzerbeater
I remember my internet was dial-up and it was awful , sometimes i only logged in to kept my team
Buzzerbeater is the best online manager game ever

I started in September 2009. I really can't believe it's been 10 years.

12/27/2008 was my first game ... I must be nuts playing for this long :D

I started to play BB when i was 10 years old, i opened my team with some friends from my basketball team.
I was a kid so i understood nothing about the game and quit very fast.
Since then ive tried to come back like 3-4 times and quit, before this-
I'm playing for a year and a half, and now i'm 19 y.o :)
I love this game so much haha

Glad to see there are a few other returners to this game. I joined back in season 3, and played for a few years and was very active. Was even part of the staff team.

But then something occured at NT level in my country, which made me feel like I was betrayed by my close friends and countrymen. It didn't go down well for them in the end - it took them 2 seasons to make all my hard work crash and burn. After that I just didn't have the enthusiasm to play the game any longer, and I also couldn't get back into the groove, and left my team for dead.

Years later, I have more or less gotten over it, and since I moved to a new country, I decided to come back to the game. I still look back to my "glory days" in the past, but I'm thankful that I can now enjoy the game in a more leisurely manner.
