Interesting how plans change in a week. Here I was looking for good, but affordable players to fill the gaps in my line-up and return to the ABBL... until Laga'aia came knocking. Suddenly that money is being invested on good but affordable trainers instead. Maybe I wouldn't have bought those two bigs on a whim had I known the HoF draftee was coming, though they will be useful to avoid the relegation zone this season. I cut it far too close last season.

This is the part where I would pick a winner for the season but with both of the strong teams from last season promoting and no recent splashes other than my own it's hard. Smart money based on round 1 form is on Da Bears from Yarra, but you just never know when one team is going to go all in.

I got no hope this season, especially I keep going inactive from week to week.
Vietnam Dongs are getting stronger and stronger each season. Perhaps even have heaps saved up i bet. So thats my prediction.

Even so, me catching you on the road with an oddball tactic designed to optimise training was a surprise. I thought your team looked strong on the back of last season, and with the Dongs being a very old team susceptible to skill drops, I'm starting to feel more confident about my teams ability to juggle both training and competing for the title.

And then I lose the play-off game with a full strength line-up. This game makes no sense :P

One of those 'more effort' beats. I knew your team was better than the 14-8 record suggested because a lot of teams in the regular season chose your team to steal a win off of, but nonetheless I had to go Normal if I was going to get to the final. It hurts less than it otherwise would because I know the Brisbane Bullets are winning the title regardless, but it's never nice to lose a winnable game.

Especially when I 3-2 zoned the Motion offence. Anyway, another season in division II makes it easier to give my young trainees minutes, so by the time I do make it back to the ABBL they should be good enough to play minutes in the top league without getting blown out. Yes, this is me hinting that I am going to try and win the title again next season, though not with the current core. The Dimasi-Roca duo is too salary inefficient and I want to bring in a more balanced roster of Australian players instead.
