I'm around. I'm always around.... I have been in too many leagues recently where nobody spoke a word. I was the new season thread starter in 2 of them and I didn't get a peep. I wish BB kept track of how many views a thread had. Maybe then I would know if anyone cared or they just didn't reply. I made 3 posts to my own thread and went an entire season with silence.
Anyway, I was promoted to D3 and I thought I had a good enough team to stay there..... I calculated that I was going to be sitting in the 6th or 7th spot and I have been demoted from D3 before so I just decided to tank and get some good 18 yr old trainees. I drafted 1 of my top 5. The other two I fired. I spent a lot of scouting points, too, but with my "tanking cash" (aka sale of players with salaries over $10k) I was able to purchase 2 more 18yr old trainees (1 I practically stole) and now I'm focused on training, not winning.
I surely hope this league is more talkative than the previous few.
EDIT: By tanking I mean I wanted to get out of D3 (which seemed better than 50% chance anyway) and I would stick to D4, I don't think I could willfully tank enough in a league with bots to be demoted....
I wanted to sell my top salaried players for starting capital to use on new players, staff, and even an arena expansion, which was worthless because fans are pissed. I was averaging close to $200k in arena attendance and my attendance was averaging 15k, now it's 7800.... I made $89,000 last home game.
