LOL, the only one doing any insulting is you (for now)....You come on and make these angry proclamations and it comes off as comical. First of all, let me make it clear, I am not a Westbrook fan or anything like that. However, what you are doing is like comparing Jessica Alba and Scarlett Johansen in an effort to make it clear which you find more attractive you call the other ugly to make your point....that's just silly, they are both hot!
In the case of Westbrook and the guy you have a hard-on for, they are both elite players in this league...dissing Westbrook to make your case for Hardin is silly.
Westbrook just finished the season averaging a triple double in 10 fewer minutes per game than Oscar Robertson did...That's impressive.
You keep mentioning "Cherry Pick Rebounds" I am not entirely sure how that works...but I imagine you are claiming that his teammates are letting him have some rebounds each game that they could get. Well, first of all, that has ALWAYS gone on. Players are always deferring to their stars for stats when something is on the line. Guys would get a fast break, break away steal and pass it backward to Kobe or Lebron so he can finish...that's nothing new. That said, there are 5 guys on the other team EVERY single game that go after those rebounds...if they don't want Westbrook to get those rebounds, they surely would have a say in the matter. There are plenty of big men who don't get 10 boards a game...I am sure they don't sit around whining that they don't have more rebounds because their teammates won't give them the rebounds. I don't watch a ton of OKC games...but I have commented more than a handful of times about Westbrook's efforts sneaking in and outhustling guys for rebounds....so even if he gets a few free rebounds every game, he sure earns the lion share of them!
I don't know how to measure whether a guy makes his teammates better or not...it was a little easier to see how Steve Nash did that...but regardless...Westbrook without question makes his entire team better. Houston has the better coach, better system, and MUCH better players around Hardin than Westbrook has around him. Before the season started some buddies and I were talking about who would make the playoffs in the West..I included OKC because of Westbrook, my buddies questioned that because he has little to nothing around him. OKC made the playoffs only because of Westbrook...plus, you don't dish out 12-13 assists a game, (in just 35 minutes) and be considered selfish, and only out for yourself.
If his claim to the MVP award was simply because he was scoring 40 a game with just a few assists and a few rebounds every game...I think all you are saying would be accurate...but this guy is filling up the stat line every night while willing his team to victory and has a very average team in a loaded conference in the playoffs.
Now, personally, I would vote for him as the MVP for the reasons I stated...but that said, you could make a case for Hardin, Curry, Lebron, Isaiah Thomas....I don't care which of them gets it...they are all elite players who have rocked this season.
But again, dissing Westbrook to prop up Hardin just devalues anything you say afterward.
By the way...when I sent you the private note you referred to, I didn't apologize to you...I was simply clarifying what I said in my forum post so you understood the point I was making, because upon reflection, at that time, I realized my response could have been taken as sarcasm or that I was being mean to you which wasn't my intention...I thought I was being polite sending you that note.
However, since you like everything out in the open, and think I am afraid to speak publicly...let me make this perfectly clear for you...I think you're a douche!
