Good luck on Saturday Valmion. Show them how good the Great 8 is. :-D

I find a good bench to be so underrated. Most teams put all their salary into their starters, and play them for 40+ minutes a game, destroying their team's game shape. I loved beating teams like that while my team was younger. I still need to do a little work on my bench.

OMG! Now Strand is injured for 2 weeks from a freekn scrimmage. Along with Pedro Manfred 2 weeks also. BOTH who were involved heavy training simply balance my trainees. Probably catch them up later while I still TRAIN TRAIN TRAIN my other young guys. Hope everyone else is injury free...nothing like one of your young stud big man and a well balanced pg OUT! To mess up training

Sometimes when it rains, it pours. :-( This string of bad luck might mean you'll go the next 3 seasons before someone gets hurt again.

I think I've been pretty lucky. Possibly have never gotten a multi week injury to a key trainee. *knocks on wood*

Hello.

Just wanted to welcome you to the league/game and to let you know that if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. It can be difficult knowing what to do at first.

The best advice I can give is to take it slow and build for the future.

Your arena should be top priority. It's how you afford to pay the players that you spend the next few seasons training up to be your studs. Buying old (32+) vets gets you some wins now, but doesn't help much down the road. Also, expect to lose most of your games this season. BADLY. Sorry, that's just how it goes starting up. We all went through it. But, hey, at least you'll be in line for a top pick.

On that note, I'd also invest $20k/week in scouting so you can look for a good player in next year's draft.

Hatcher is your best starting trainee. Pulliam MAY be a decent second trainee, but i don't know if his stats are high enough to warrant training. If you want to start training now, send me a message and we'll work on a strategy.

You have any more questions about anything, feel free to send me a PM or just post here in the thread, someone will answer ya. :-D And if you get bored, read the help forums. I learned a lot by just reading questions other people posted.

Here's a pretty good post here (278729.1) concerning spending your initial $300k that you might want to check out.

Hope my post didn't make you more confused. :-D

Yeah don't feel bad. Pleasant team can't be beat. Going to be fun seeing the outcome of him and D-league. Those 2 are masters in this game.

If any of us is a master, it has to be Pleasant Team. This is only his 5th full season. This is my 11th. I should know what I'm doing by now. :-D

But yea, it should be a great game Tuesday night. I can't wait to watch it. Probably the game that determines home court in the finals. Well, if either of us get that far, of course.
