My team landed in IV.9. Which is also home to the famous Parrot (coach). Who had built some helpful spreadsheets.

I landed a 19 year old superstar who is 5'11". His stats suck inside but he has trainable outside stats. So he will be my main trainee.

Any ideas on what people will do here? I am thinking I will not hire anyone but maybe another 1-2 trainees. Then wait until mid-season before I hire anyone just to make sure I go to Div III.

Edit: I ended up going full-blown tank. I didn't like my prospects to advance via bot so I decided on the safer alternative. Now I am two position training 6 18-19 year old's. Was surprised by how much money was given via TV contract. May end up making my strategy less fruitful as the economic advantage of tanking is less.

I was going to try some new training strategies, and I just landed these two guys as my two youngest. I think I will cap them out as decent forwards, even though they are only allstars:

Man I'm trying to make a homegrown team but I got stuck with crap for trainees. I a couple 18yos but they both start with pitiful in both defenses and atrocious passing. Looks like I'm going to suck for a long while.

I did get a couple of decent bigs though. One is 20 and the other I believe 19(can't check right now). But one also started with awful defense

So looks like my defense will absolutely suck haha.

Yeah, I was going to try to at least stick with an all Utopian team, if not homegrown, but the collection of taintcheese that litters my roster makes that pretty well impossible. I'm going to try to take some time in the next day or two to decide if I want to still try it and just suffer through godawfulness early, or if I'll at least let myself buy starter draftees from other countries and train them up in the Clogs' traditions.

I got a decent 19 year old to train and an ok 18 year old all star. I will probably train an 18 yo starter potential as third trainee.

I plan on investing in the draft and building the team slowly. No race to Utopia Prime for me. I want to develop a couple of original players and enjoy the training and drafting. Hopefully they improve upon the draft in upcoming seasons.

Martín Flores looks like a very strong player to start with.

My guy is atrocious stamina and pitiful FT.

He also has three categories in atrocious. Which I will never train anyway. He will be a pure PG at some point for me.

Consider yourself lucky. Superstar at 19 is almost perfect to build a team around. Great starting stats too.

I like this but make sure you use caps on every other letter. If not, some kind of bizarre tribute to Mr Glass would really rock, IMO.
