The learning curve isn't *too* steep. Your best learning tool is exploring and going into the forums!
The hard part is perfecting your method of advancement. Some will buy a good trainer and train young players to sell for hundreds of thousands, then use that money to buy experienced or veteran players. I have been doing some training but the best trainers are going for waaay too much money for my budget. So I have been expanding my arena and trying to get fans to increase my Arena Revenue and Merch sales. This requires a decent PR Manager (mine is Advanced and salary is only $13k/wk) and is a slower method, but worth it. I see some players in leagues like this one with only 5k-6k seats in the stadium. I fill mine between 85-100% and have 10,000+ seats.
