Mill City, they are just too good and added another sharpshooter

I'm definitely going for the league this season, will see what happens though. After having great injury luck the last few season, I'm paying the price now. My starting center had a 23 day injury earlier in the season and picked up another one last night, and another starter just came back from a 14 day injury. Hopefully I can get a healthy roster together for playoffs...

Guess NBBA is just like the NBA, you have to be good and healthy to win

For cup I'd predict a HumanFund vs Flashover final. Those two will be a good matchup, might come down to GS and whether G's recent purchases can get into good GS by then

I think there are some other really interesting seeding battles to end the season too. Mainly the 3-5 spots in the Great 8 and 3-6 in the Big 8.

After being in a relegation fight all season, I think Silverbacks might be the favorite to snag the 3rd seed. 3 of their final 4 games are at home and the only road game is against the 8th seed. Beware and Visionaries both only have 2 home games left and Visionaries is still dealing with their rough injury luck

On the Big 8 side, it looks like Fury is likely to grab a top 4 spot but not settled yet. Based on remaining schedule and current PD, I'd guess it finishes as Fury 3, 10inch 4, Human Fund 5, Big Gulp 6. If all of my predictions are right, Flashover and Human Fund would be a rare cup final matchup that is also a relegation matchup!

Well, good call, Silverbacks took advantage this past game. Could be a strange trek to the finish line from here...

Congrats G for winning the cup! Back to back championship seasons for Flashover

I asked the stat guys at buzzerbeaterreference.com to dig into the history of cup champs to see how many non-playoff teams have won.

Flashover is the first ever 7 seed to win the cup (assuming they dont somehow pass Pressure to get 6th on the last game), and is 1 of only 9 non-NBBA playoff teams to ever win the cup. The last one was Orcs in season 65 with other NBBA relegation teams winning in seasons 29 (Delta 9 as a 6 seed), 25 (Arizona dessert storm as a 6 seed), 21 (KDB as a 6 seed), 20 (Visionaries as a 6 seed), and 9 (Chicago Bulls as a 5 seed)

Shockingly, there have been 3 cup champions who won while in D2, although one of them doesn't really count as it was Season 1 (Chicago Bulls). The other two times a d2 team won, it was the same team: Marshland Mammals in seasons 37 and 43. They then went on to win multiple more cups titles while in NBBA
