First of, thanks for the kind words from others. Sometimes i get brutally honest (from my perspective), that is the flaw that comes with me for better or for worse. I hate losing too.

To address sparky44's concerns, i don't actually disagree with you in the general u21 approach of a nation having full control over it's u21 team from a management and scouting concern. I also am fully aware that you have a spot that is probably not public for some of your information, and i don't currently have access to it as should be the case. However, I would not spend time writing a very specific national team ad to simply pass information off to the US team in some elaborate scheme. In it's most recent worlds run, the US and Canada did not meet at all to my knowledge. In the americas series, the US and Canada played a not so thrilling match due to the talent gap between the two teams. The worlds/americas prior Canada and the USA did not play one another. The last time we played one another in worlds was in season 39, where Canada lasted until the 2nd round of worlds games (should be considered a good result given the manager and talent disadvantage that you play with!). You will also notice my presence in S36 communication, S38 communication, and S39 communication on your u21 threads. I enjoyed a decent working relationship where we talked at least a little in PM and on there about u21 things. I'm not sure if that is enough to gain his trust, but i would hope that you would see the sincerity of my offer to run the u21 from that angle. If nothing else, know that i am not on the usa u21 discord anymore, and while i talk occasionally with jkalltheway every few months via pm or the boards, that it is not involving the u21 team directly anymore. I'll probably revoke my own spreadsheet access.

I think the larger benefit to any nation taking a foreign manager is a different approach to how the u21 is worked from that country's perspective. There is some chance that perhaps Canada is missing out on some of what makes the u21 more effective. I believe the US u21 team is contemplating at minimum the idea of France's former u21 manager taking over their u21 team this season for much the same reason.

If nothing else, i have given Canada another option in a foreign u21 manager with credentials. Food for thought :)

If anyone wants to talk on a discord channel or in pm on discord, i'm on discord @FurySK#0871

A few things:

#1: Your nation is actually lukewarm on electing new foreign leaders; due to your s42 problems with Tehran.

#2: How on earth are we able to believe that you aren't still on those documents, chats & message boards. Just by telling us something, doesn't mean we're going to believe it.

#3: Having a foreign leader would give a certain divide between the nation and it's "government". You will never see a small nation like Monaco asking Ronald Reagan to become their president. Even if a certain president has credentials, you cannot trust somebody who has ties with other nations and is not a citizen of your country.

If you're going to be running for U21 Manager, you cannot give up after a few failed attempts of communication. I know from experience that there are managers who do not ever respond, but they'll still get a message every few weeks so that I'm able to at least have a chance at making inroads with them.

As the leader of the u21, you cannot just blame it on others as if it's a "two-way street", you've got to be able to accept responsibilities and force yourself to not give up with communication.

I wouldn't worry too much with Tehran actually. the NT team in the US is SIGNIFICANTLY behind multiple other nations because of work prior to him taking over kinda slacking off near the end. I can't vouch for the last two or three seasons, but in seasons 36-41 it was a huge falloff in scouting between the U21 that had 6-7 scouts versus the NT who had 0 or 1 additional scout.

I suppose you take my at my word or don't take me at my word, i wont force your decision one way or the other. My reputation in the u21 tournament is solid amongst my competition and i have not been overly deceptive or broken mTIE's, so there is that?

I think the divide or rift of a foreign manager is non-existent. You are either good at what you do and earn respect, or you are bad at what you do and discontent with poor performance grows.

Thanks for the suggestion. but I already showed that when I was NT I will work on communicating even if it means the owner doesn't respond. heck I must have sent you 8 messages about guevremont and only got one response back.. so I proved that to you. in terms of the "two way street" comment I made, It was in reference to the fact he was the coach, I was no longer the coach.... of course if I was coach id make the effort(extra), which is why I was expecting it from the coach.. (make sense? )

and I wasn't blaming....blaming make it seem as though I didn't take responsibility. I admitted it was a two way street, which means I take responsibility but he should too.. thus the two way street :) not an excuse, it's a rationale.

anyways, good luck to all candidates..

@FurYak... clearly your record speaks for itself. It ironic that you made the 'it should be the best candidate who wins regardless of country thing".. I agree with you, but it's ironic because in the USA U21 threads, they discourage foreigners from running. But alas, good luck to you as well.

not a disingenuine person.. i'm the opposite. there are many of those in BB, I am not one of them. All my intents and purposes are genuine and I'll leave it at that, because I'm not looking to create further divide.

I also did not say that I was "excited" to talk with you like you wanted to be with the NT. It was during a time where I wasn't as involved with the game as I am now.

Also: If you REALLY wanted to be involved with the team, wouldn't you persist to work with RIP? At that time, I didn't want to be part of the team management.

i do have a spreadsheet (a bit messy but with everything needed), I'll send it to the new manager.
I'd like to have a response from Fury about the scouting as well. Do you plan on scouting the ~600 players 18-21yo with allstar+ potential by yourself?
You can't really count on scouts, response rate are way too low for that, so you'll need to do the work if you intend to have a player database. The trouble with young players is that you can't really count on the salary to make a selection for you so there's no way around it.
It took me a good week to scout all players (starting from scratch). Is any of the candidates willing to do that or do you count on other means to select the ~15 best players?

If I win the election, I will be going through with the scouting of all 600~ players. I did it last time that I was u21 manager (since Kumiko had passed), and would be okay with doing it once again. The scouting portion of the job, might be the most fun part of it all.
