I think it's almost the same.

While 44-46 minutes is not a huge difference, it will prevent your trainees from maximizing their training efforts and it won't give your players the best game shape either.

I can of course play them in other positions and don''t hurt game shape. Alternative is to just train two players and I therefore prefer to keep trying to train three players. I will evaluate it at end of season.

If its possible to get those guys 48 minutes plus, even in other positions, I would. Good luck!

I am in a similar position.

I also want to give this player(14781491)48 minutes in the scrimmage.

Should I put Oakes as back up point guard to give him full training or go ahead and play Desplan 48 minutes in the scrim?

(btw, Oakes is primary trainee)

I would put Desplan as a starter and backup for PG, then have Oakes as reserve. So if Desplan fouls out or gets injured, he'll sub for him. Atleast that's what I think will happen.

Whenever I do this, the starter never gets injured or fouls out so I can't say for sure if it'll work.

I guess that'll work.

Will try it out to see what happens.
