Thank you for the answers! This is what I suspected and it's good to get the confirmation.

As it is with statistics, it always makes things interesting

I think yes.
I purchased back one of my player and total HG merchandise = 1,6 multiply team sales.
In other case it wouldn't be 1,6 ratio.

hard one....
(720minutes total/9=80min) but # of players is issue.

let's number your players 1,2,3 etc
1-6 are trainees lets say SF/PF:
my best idea might look like below
PG 7/3/3 7/5/5 7/1/1
SG 8/3/3 8/5/5 8/1/1
SF 1/1/1 3/3/3 5/5/5
PF 2/2/2 4/4/4 6/6/6
CE 9/4/4 9/6/6 9/2/2
it gives totals:
1 72
2 60
3 72
4 60
5 72
6 60
7 108 #sacrified starter
8 108 #sacrified starter
9 108 #sacrified starter

You need to sacrify few players so rest can have good shape.

Do you have psychologist(or how is he called)? It can help a little bit.

That is an interesting challenge. I played around a little and tried to solve this situation as best as possible, but it is really tough to distribute the minutes sensibly. I think you have already come to some "good" conclusions too, but I would use a core 7-man rotation and use only 3 players for the third game of the week. Unfortunately, I was not able to find a perfect system, so you would have to sacrifice at least one player's game shape following this. Let's say you have Player 1 through Player 9 with 1-6 being your trainees. I came up wit the solution:

Game 1:
Starters_____________Backup
PG - Player #7________PG - Player #3
SG - Player #8________SG - Player #3
SF - Player #1______SF - Player #1
PF - Player #2______PF - Player #2

C - Player #9_________C - Player #5

Game 2:
Starters_____________Backup
PG - Player #7________PG - Player #1
SG - Player #8________SG - Player #1
SF - Player #3______SF - Player #3
PF - Player #4______PF - Player #4

C - Player #9_________C - Player #6

Game 3:
Starters_____________Backup
PG - N/A_____________PG - N/A
SG - Player #2________SG - Player #2
SF - Player #5______SF - Player #5
PF - Player #6______PF - Player #6

C - N/A______________C - N/A

Now assuming you train 1v1 for forwards and that your starters get 38 min per game and backups 10 min respectively, then the minutes would be distributed as follows:
Player #1: 68 min
Player #2: 96 min
Player #3: 68 min
Player #4: 48 min
Player #5: 58 min
Player #6: 58 min
Player #7: 76 min
Player #8: 76 min
Player #9: 76 min

So you would definitely destroy the game shape of one player (Player #2), while one player (Player #4) is just shy of the amount of minutes needed. Here maybe a sports psychologist would come in just to somewhat lessen the effects of this ineffective distribution of minutes for these 2 players.

I'm looking forward to any other ideas from other managers, how a system could be effectively made for 6-trainee 9-man roster.

At some point, as I had a 10-11 player roster and had 1-2 injuries to my annoyance, this system is something that I tried to use to train 6 players. I also tried to have a 3-man roster for a scrimmage with one player only being a backup to get some minutes but not too many, which failed, because the GE preferred him on an unassigned position instead of a lucky fan. So, been there done that

I also have had trainees (18-19 years old) actually going to and staying at GS 9 with only 48 weekly minutes played with a lvl 5 psychologist. I have also read about how the psychologist does not have the effect one might hope for, but I tried it and it seemed to work fine (maybe I just got lucky). It is also feasible to get a lvl 5 psychologist for <6-7k salary for a relatively low price and then hold onto until the next draft. I really do not know if a player with 96 weekly minutes could maintain a good GS with the psychologist, so I cannot give you any insight there.

In any case you can let me know how it works out for you, should you try to use it. And I'm crossing fingers that your players remain injury-free, otherwise it would really become a nightmare.
