Not sure why people easily ignore this: after PK winning the Canada cup, they may give up the league title. That's kind of a nice tradition of top Canadian managers. Not saying that BCT did win the cup several times and give up the title to RM but looking back to Season 18 PK did the same thing. Although I am not saying that BO couldnt win PK if PK played the best line up, it is not arguable that PK did give up competing the final game. So IMO PK could easily get to the final from our conference but the winner of the league is probably the finalist from great 8. Plus you have HCA which is a big factor. If you try theres always a chance, if you dont then never. Tanking and rebuilding are part of this game, but that has to be at the right time. And your timing does suck IMO.Y R U fighting for the 1st place for so long?

timing sucks because of injury. Besides, I wouldnt feel good knowing that someone tanked a final against me. As I said. I believe with HCA I would have won fair and square but not without Jutras. It was just a terrible moment when he got injured and in dissapointment I might have made a rash and irrational move, but the more I think about it, the more i stand behind it. For me it would suck to win a league knowing I didnt deserve it.

And I was fighting for 1st place in league to get HCA that I would use if not for bad luck that happened to me

I agree with your decision.
Instead of waiting for other miracles (injuries for PK) or PK tanking, do what is right and what the logical progression of the playoffs will look like.
I might not have done a total rebuild, but definitely be retooling and planning for next season

so you get my logic. And retooling is not really an option. If I would want to compete next season I would just sell my 80k big man sub and then spend the money on better quality starter. But I just want to focus on trainign 2 guys again. Having one trainee is not enough for me, and hopefully some great Canadian trainee joins my team (if there is one on TL I will push for him)

There was no HCA. It's been neutral court for the past few weeks. And sorry, but you wouldn't have come close to beating RiP.

But with our conference being death, RiP having no depth, and especially the possibility of RiP giving up the title, I didn't understand the giving up either.

I am pretty sure there is HCA in league (thats what I was aiming for this season). Well, we agree to disagree. I think I would have decent chance beating RiP in league finals with HCA and possibly slight enthusiasm advantage (difference in conference strenght).

And I know that RiP might have lost on purpose but I DONT WANT to win title like that. And it would mean a season in BBB so I would just upgrade my PG position and keep on training just one player, and I prefer training 2 top trainees than competing hard on top level but training only just one

Why can't you train and compete?

I have never trained less than 3 players full time and almost always tran one position. Am I abnormal for a Naismith team?

Since my first season I've been training SFs
It's hard to be training 3 players for SF full time and remain competitive

majority of the time I'm only training 2 players full time, with 1 additional player getting some minutes

edit: oh and with real life in the way, I haven't been able to crunch numbers to spread minutes and work on strategies like I used to early on in my BB career

yes, you can do that if you have funds for already trained players at age 21-23. I dont have that luxury yet since I built my team in not as many seasons as you built yours. Anyway, this is what I decided to do for now and training unique and great player from scratch currently gives me bit more satisfaction than just being competative
