no worries. i'll keep working on it. And LoD, remember, i'm an umpire. i know that sometimes, to do the right thing, you got to make a very unfriendly decision...

But aslong as i keep in mind that it's in the best interest of everyone ( in that hockey game, or in BB) my conscience won't bug me. And the umpire commity has been training the belgian umpire in the 'art of selling' their decision. So i hope i'll be able to apply those principles here too. I'm looking forward to it anyhow :D

wat houd GM zijn in?

Als ik mijn job als GM heel kort zou moeten beschrijven, denk ik dat ik zou zeggen: wij trachten het spel aangenaam en eerlijk voor iedereen te houden...

Dat kan gaan a.o van de verwelkomingsmail die men krijgt wanneer men zich aanmeldt voor een BB-ploeg, het antwoorden op forumtopics en BB-mails, communicatie met de ontwikkelaars bij specifieke problemen,....
naar de zorg dat de regels nageleefd worden.

Willen we inderdaad het spel leuk en aangenaam voor iedereen houden, dan zijn er een aantal afspraken waaraan men zich moet houden, en die vertaald werden in regels waaraan men zich dient te houden. Wij GM's kunnen in geval van overtreding boetes en zelfs een ban uitschrijven (sommigen durven ons dan wel eens vergelijken met de 'politie' van BB ;-) ).

GM's zijn dan ook managers die goed de regels kennen, het spel al een eindje spelen en behoorlijk wat tijd besteden aan BB.
