I agree with malice that allthough we can appreciate a foreign owner of our NT player the people who benefit the most are domestic owners. If possible we want to encourage and promote domestic ownership of NT players.

For example two NT players were recently listed by a domestic owner. Who knows where they will land in the BB universe? Timing and preparing for these listings, setting up internal buyers etc. if possible is better. Obviously it can't be helped in every case, ultimately it is the whim of the actual owners when and how players are listed.

A contrasting example would be a foreign owner who is training/managing well but at some point decides they want to sell. Making sure we have some interest locally/get the world out when the sale is going on and such will increase the chance of a local buyer/owner who will be motivated to maintain the player.


If anyone has any aspirations of winning a trophy and boost their merch at the same time, 1 should stay locally....

Which is why I started the off-site forum. There, we can let each other know exactly what we have, and when we're selling players of NT/U21 potential, we can try and keep them local.

So Izaman or BG. May I ask you both a question, what will you both do to try and improve communication with the rest of Japan outside the JBBL and long term planning?

Job of NT manager is not to improve communication for the whole community, than to take care of players who have the quality to play for the NT.
It does not matter who the owner of those players, domestic or foreign team.

I don't agree with this. Surely, as Izaman said, it would be best for the future of Nippon basketball to develop domestic players that are good enough to play at National level.

You haven't answered the questions I asked either... and I'm going to throw another question out there too (and I'll tell you, whoever answers these questions the best will get my vote):
Will you take part in a community-based development of the country?

I said that my communications will be directed to the manager that have Japanese quality players,
I agree that the best if that players are in Japan, we can influence their GS and their training than they are abroad.
As Japan NT manager I can help in communication between foreign owners and Japanese managers who want to buy them.
Of course I will take part in a community-based development in Japan as NT Manager.

So we can talk about communication or what not, but what Japan really needs is 3/4 teams like 3A that are commited to training bigs.

That solves alot of the problems right there. Japan cant depend on other countries to train their/our talent.

We have to value it, train it ourselves.

Questions for all candidates:

What i think the major problem is, is not enough managers in Japan see the benefit of training a draftee from the ground up. Sure, its one thing to have outside managers train japanese talent, but the commitment is much deeper for people in their own country to train draftees to the NT team.

How would you envisage addressing this problem?
Given this problem exists, how will you work around it?
Realistically, what are your expectations for the Nippon NT in the coming season?

Needs to Japanese BB active users, write in forums similar web games in Japan, inform the rest of the population about this wonderful game.
To make the manual "how to train young player" (But that's U21 manager jobs)
Reality is that Japan is one of the best 9 in Asia, the goal is place in the Top 6 (World Championships Repechage)

We get users in, but the problem is we don't retain them. We're at like... 1-in-5 as far as retention of new users. BB's simply not an easy game to start on... and it's especially tough in a small nation with no real support system.

Some stats on the Div. IIs...
II.4 is completely bot except for Albanian Mafia.
II.3 has 3 users (but one's going bot soon).
II.2 is half user, half bot.
II.1 has one bot (but one might go bot soon).

That means regardless of what the "official" numbers are, we have 39 users. Tho' one or two in the Div II's are in danger of going bot, and even in JBBL: there are 2 teams that might be headed the path of "computerized user".

We need to keep those that join. Or at least do better than we are.

Now: there were two more questions...

1/5 retention though I think is standard for BB globally. .
