I would like to address something with you Mr. Furyak. Many people who have worked with you on various NT Teams have come forward, over the last few days to reveal some information. This was sent to me through PMS. I would like to see your take on what they say.

The Allegations

- 3/4 of your scouts had left your side during your management, because of your demeanor
- You wouldn't pick players if they came from managers you didn't like.
- You lost a gold medal due to tactical incompetence

Can you give the names of these people so that we can check your allegations as well?

They want their names to be protected. If they want to come forward, they can. The first thing one of them told me was that I could not reveal their name. Others advised against it as well. Even if he doesn't know the names, he can still address the issues; since they aren't coming completely out of left field.

Alright fair enough

Edit: if these people can contact me via pm I'd like to hear what they have to say as well

Keep in mind, that repeated personal attacks are actually in the forum rules as against forum policy. They don't want to come forward because the person in question will not come forward given those rules, and was reliant on you breaking forum rules for him.

When i took over, i entrusted a lot of work to jkalltheway, who was the lead scout. I had all of the u21 team with the exception of a few of his scouted players, who he had developed relationships with, and he made sure they knew what they were supposed to do to get their players on the team. If you want to know whether or not the staff of 3 people dropped by 3/4th's of the membership that was there, i suggest you go ask him.

We had 5 or 6 scouts running the entire group of players. I enlisted A-Dub at times to help some of the HoF potential players' owners to understand what they needed to do, and jkalltheway enlisted the help of a friend of his to help try to get the offsite advanced stats back online.

There was only one scout who left without saying a word prior to the americas tournament in season 34 (tough's era). Said manager came back and was given u21 access despite not being a scout because of his previous scouting experience, and demanded that he got only worlds class players to scout because it wasn't "worth his time" to worry about americas that i should win hands down every time. Despite that attack, his player were still put on the u21 team. I’ve deleted the rest of this rebuttal against this owner as on second thought bringing it back up would be probably what he wants me to do. When players don’t get picked it’s gameshape. If you don’t manage gameshape effectively, I look at owners who have 1-3 tsp less on their players, and take them.

I'm not going to respond to my tactical incompetence. If someone doesn't agree with decisions i made, that's their right. What i said in the first post i made on the debate thread is that my personality is very straightforward. I will tell you what i am thinking, i will sometimes assume that i am right and you are wrong correctly and sometimes incorrectly, and i will tell you that straight up rather than sugar coating it. That is/was/and forever will be what you do need to expect from me.

You're running for office and you won't give out any information in public. I'm trying to be transparent, whereas you don't seem very trustworthy since you can't even trust the country to give out information in public.

I'm only going to say one thing regarding this right now, because i don't want this to become about me and you.

You initially called me out for not trusting me with private information. So i took this to heart, and said that i have some ideas on how i would like to improve communication but wanted to resort to answering a question in pm because it might contain some sensitive information. You then called me out for not sharing information because i was attempting to respect the privacy of the owners whose players were going to be on there w/ skillsets. So you basically are playing both sides of the coin here, and no matter what i try to do you are going to attempt to play it off as if i had done something sketchy.

~~

So with that said, i'd like to at least try to get this subject back onto what should actually be talked about

How does Canada become relevant enough to make the 2nd round of worlds again, which is clearly something they have been capable of previously? Let's not talk about your job in season 27 as the interim manager of your reelection thereafter, let's not talk about Fwinn's approach, lets talk what actually gets Canada better.

My guess is based on what i've seen here is as follows:

1) You guys probably have an offsite forum, and my expectation is it's not very active. Some people post here and there, but it's not a place where people go anymore and share build information, and talk about u21 tactics or team training tactics. This is what happened in the US forums slowly since season 25 or so as the playerbase fell, which is why i made the educated guess haha. Then what do you want to do to fix it? I would tell you that it's more reasonable to use Discord for a few reasons. 1) it's free. 2) it has voice and chat channels both. 3) you can either go to the website and login on a browser page, download the program to your computer, or download the app to your phone. So you have access across three different methods. The downside is that if you say something spur of the moment out of frustration, that is on the internet (unless you are really quick to delete it, in which case only a few might see it).

2) The biggest obstacle is getting people interested in being involved as a scout, with a close 2nd being the struggle of getting people to develop talent for the u21 AND at the same time keeping said players in good gameshape. I've got some decent ideas for getting people to develop talent at minimum, but i'll admit getting people in smaller countries that buy players to see the benefits of good GameShape is difficult. Does anyone looking at this debate have room for players? does anyone want to learn how to develop players? I'd love to get a feel for that.

3) We don't have a consistent plan of attack across managers. I spent time talking to Cletus back in seasons 36-39 (you can see some of the basic conversation on the u21 discussions in a few of those threads here). I've looked at Fwinn's games and asked him a question in PM to which he responded, so i know that the general approach is inconsistent. Would it be easier for talent developers to have a consistent message? If so, what approach is best?

I understand the solo act quite well. Helped mix with the Jamaican side way back when. The country had at that point about 16-20 teams. It was mostly 3 foreign managers and the there of us that went over to run it. We got them more wins in that season than they had in some time. Our reward was the country expanded from 20 to 23 2 weeks before the election and suddenly there were enough votes for some other random guy that wanted to do it from within the country.

I don’t expect a ton of help. I anticipate I’ll improve some training. The switch to something that can easily be viewed on mobile spiked our active views per day from 13 online unique viewers to 22 active posts average on discord daily. If it takes 5-6 users to 11, its a win imo.

At this point, if the people want to come forward, they can. If not, hopefully, they go to pms to explain like they're doing to fwinns.

@furyak, three managers for 16-20 teams is a lot less than 1 manager for 145. Which is probably what you'll be dealing with.

So you’re saying if you lose the election you’re not going to help out with the U21? Seems like you don’t have the best interests of the U21 at heart and care more about winning the election. If you care that much about the U21, you’ll help out even if you lose the election which will be at least 1 manager from the 145.
