Oh yes it is, and considering the injuries and game shape issues we have had so far, this is really an achievement.

Of course, Joe played a major role in all this, and he deserves at least as much credit as I do. We also had some favourable circumstances - but hey, who am I to argue with all that ?

We're qualified, others are not, that's life :p

@Philou : good job with France, you had a difficult pool indeed yet managed to get the best of it. Good topper next week against Spain :)

We had decided to try out our luck for a further round, and this is a hard blow indeed. Thing is, Italy didn't take any chances on our game - a good call, perhaps they'll regret it later but from a belgian point of view it didn't do us any good.

I'm abroad right now with very limited internet access and with huge IRL changes lying ahead my mind isn't 100 % NT focused, I think I'll stick to the original plan despite this early setback, which aimed at winning the most games, with a very high risk of winning none.

If this was subject to change, however, I would not discuss it on a public forum, of course.

No topic last week due to me standing in an area with very little internet coverage, sorry :s

This week we decided to spend some TS in order to surprise Ukraine, this finally paid off in a very fiercely fought game :

Considering our next 3 opponents it seemed like a good time to take risks, since we cannot qualify. However, these good results prove that our apporach is correct and the team didn't steal his qualification spot : Belgium is tricky to play against thanks to our tactical variety and this is very comfortable for the NT manager.

Next week we'll face Poland, who recovered from it's initial defeat against France by crushing Italy, needless to say that things don't look too good for us ... but once again, qualification was impossible to achieve.
