So we can talk about communication or what not, but what Japan really needs is 3/4 teams like 3A that are commited to training bigs.
That solves alot of the problems right there. Japan cant depend on other countries to train their/our talent.
We have to value it, train it ourselves.
I agree that we have to train our own players, unfortunately, they don't fall into our lap that often. Last draft, there were very few players of that nature actually in the draft across the nation. For what it's worth, I am committed to training bigs. I single position train too. If I can land my hands on a quality Japanese big, it'd be awesome. Easier said than done.
The communication that you deride, would help in developing the sense of community, and enable *you* (the NT manager) to better distribute ideas about what needs to happen with players, and encourage teams to do so. It's not that we need better communication Izaman, we need 'communication' period.
No-one talks, and today is the first time I've actually heard "this is what we need" for the National team.
There are absolutely no negatives to actually developing a community and actually having "communication".
Questions for all candidates:
What i think the major problem is, is not enough managers in Japan see the benefit of training a draftee from the ground up. Sure, its one thing to have outside managers train japanese talent, but the commitment is much deeper for people in their own country to train draftees to the NT team.
How would you envisage addressing this problem?
Given this problem exists, how will you work around it?
Realistically, what are your expectations for the Nippon NT in the coming season?
Thanks...
