So Izaman or BG. May I ask you both a question, what will you both do to try and improve communication with the rest of Japan outside the JBBL and long term planning?

Having coached the NT team for several seasons and competing against other team (or should i say systems), commnication isnt the major issue.

It is the abundance of trained talent at every position. Asking guys to train players or keep up game shape falls of deaf ears when there is not treat in the depth chart to push the starter.

The NT team is chuck full of talent down to SF.

When guys know its not guarenteed for their guy to play (and collect precious merchandising), they tend to listen to what you have to say.

There is a difference is asking guys to do things over simply stating the necesities to make the lineup.

What i think the major problem is, is not enough managers in Japan see the benefit of training a draftee from the ground up. Sure, its one thing to have outside managers train japanese talent, but the commitment is much deeper for people in their own country to train draftees to the NT team.

Dont believe me? Ask stunners about the about his merchansizing money for Oishii. The incentive is already in place to train draftees.

In what other country do 2 MVP bigs on the same team get sold before a single training? And one to a non japanese team.

In countries with "systems" i.e. farm teams, those guys go straight to one position training mills in country.

So we can talk about communication or what not, but what Japan really needs is 3/4 teams like 3A that are commited to training bigs.

That solves alot of the problems right there. Japan cant depend on other countries to train their/our talent.

We have to value it, train it ourselves.

I agree that we have to train our own players, unfortunately, they don't fall into our lap that often. Last draft, there were very few players of that nature actually in the draft across the nation. For what it's worth, I am committed to training bigs. I single position train too. If I can land my hands on a quality Japanese big, it'd be awesome. Easier said than done.

The communication that you deride, would help in developing the sense of community, and enable *you* (the NT manager) to better distribute ideas about what needs to happen with players, and encourage teams to do so. It's not that we need better communication Izaman, we need 'communication' period.
No-one talks, and today is the first time I've actually heard "this is what we need" for the National team.
There are absolutely no negatives to actually developing a community and actually having "communication".

Questions for all candidates:

What i think the major problem is, is not enough managers in Japan see the benefit of training a draftee from the ground up. Sure, its one thing to have outside managers train japanese talent, but the commitment is much deeper for people in their own country to train draftees to the NT team.

How would you envisage addressing this problem?
Given this problem exists, how will you work around it?
Realistically, what are your expectations for the Nippon NT in the coming season?

Thanks...

Two reasons why the U21 Fed never got off the ground Wolph...
1. You know.
2. Most Nippon users don't have supporter.

And I disagree on your definition of "community" and "communication".

This is absolutely the wrong thread to do this in Wolph. And you're wrong on that too. Nearly all of II.1 - a pretty active div. - don't have supporter.

You, and a few others from II.1 who are very active, are kinda a perfect example of what I'm talking about.

Job of NT manager is not to improve communication for the whole community, than to take care of players who have the quality to play for the NT.
It does not matter who the owner of those players, domestic or foreign team.

It may be important for the U21 Manager of communications with the whole community, because we all get three new players at the start of the season after the draft.

If I become NT Manager Japan, I hope to have good communication with the U21 Manager.
Together we can prepare young players for the NT Japan.

I don't agree with this. Surely, as Izaman said, it would be best for the future of Nippon basketball to develop domestic players that are good enough to play at National level.

You haven't answered the questions I asked either... and I'm going to throw another question out there too (and I'll tell you, whoever answers these questions the best will get my vote):
Will you take part in a community-based development of the country?
