Wow it's not easy to write something as good as Deschamps's speech, but I'll try my best.

You might remember me from a few season's back when I was the NT coach. And although I loved my tenure, I ended up quite frustrated with a feeling that things were written and that the coach had little to no effect on the outcome, no matter how hard he tries. Failing twice to be the last american team standing (the second time for a single point!) in the consolation tournament was really hard on me and I decided to let Coach MK have a go at it. Results were not that much different but then Music Chick comes around and manages to bring Canada to the semis with an honestly not-that-strong team!

It gave me back a certain desire to have a go at it again, and then I saw that Cletus didn't want to continue with the U21 (no matter how you look at it you can't deny he was among the best U21 coach Canada ever had - I'd say at least as good as Kumiko). So I decided to run again for the U21 coach position.

If you look at previous elections, you'll see that I run for that position quite a few times, once I even ended up in a tie with Sparky (S28)! I have always liked the training aspect of this game, and frankly that's the only reason I have stayed in the game this long. I still have my first batch of trainees on my team (Lindsey/Cornoldi - now 41-42 years old!), and I started a new batch of trainees last season. I also always liked discussing with managers on training plan, trying to decide what was best for them and Canadian NT. I miss that and I want that back!

I honestly have no idea how good or bad are the future generations of canadian players, so it's difficult to make goals for the first 2 seasons, all I know is that in 2 seasons we'll have at least one decent inside SF!

I hope you'll give me chance to finally try what I've been aiming at for so many seasons (5 years in real life!), in the meantime hopefully we'll have an interesting debate :D
