Furthermore, with regards to planning training, the coaches whos skills got halved, will they train half as quick? will they train as quick and the new higher skilled trainers train quicker? Would like to know that before I spend my very hard earned money on new staff...

I think people might misunderstand the league structure we've tried to build with BuzzerBeater. The point of it is that teams are supposed to grow over time, and as they do, they should have a higher rate of cash-flow. One of the problems with the previous staff system was that it made sense for many teams to buy the highest level trainer, for example. In reality, this shouldn't be the case -- the top trainer should be affordable only by the top level teams, and they should get that added benefit from paying that premium. Lower teams should not expect to be able to hire the top-level staff, as is the case in real life.

This structure is intended to give people something to shoot for, and to make the promotion into a higher division more meaningful.

I understand the idea behind it. but i look at hattrick and i see the same "misstake" or benefit or whatever you want to call it, for teams that started early happening/being made...

it is nice to build a team and thats why I LOVE this game. I will be playing this a very long time...

However, a top coach will train players faster/better etc and a top doctor will keep players fitter. So what will happen is that teams in the top leagues that can afford the better trainers/doctors/pr-manager. Resulting in fitter players which will mean they have less trouble with injuries and therefore can compete longer in both league and cup and therefore make more cash. In hattrick you make the most money from having a great training regime, and from what I have seen in this game, here it is the same. The better players will be able to afford better trainers therefore training their players and trainees faster and better and make a lot off cash selling abundant trainees, more than people that cant afford these trainees. and having a better pr-manager already brings you more cash...

Like I said, I am not moaning or upset, just voicing my concern. I started at middle off season 3 and what I will never be able to achieve in Hattrick because people that started alot earlier than me have such a headstart, I would like to be able to play someday in the top english league, compete for buzzerbeater best and win the english cup and I feel that the new changes, will drive a wedge between the players that started first and the ones that started a few seasons after...

Who is making more money this season - a division II or I team?

Maybe I just suck at managing things, but I haven't made a dime this season and I'm in 2nd place. And literally not a single team in II.3 has made a significant transfer since Sept 9 so I'm thinking I might not be alone.

i am in division 2 in england. i havent made a lot profit this season either. but with the trainees I train I hope I reckon I will be able to afford a few upgrades in 2-3 seasons time.

I wasnt talking about division 2 teams. I ment the top half in the highest division off a respective country.

If you look at the people making bids on staff, I havent seen many teams lower than division 2 make any bids. And the bids I see arent 50k or 100k they are like 800k etc. (for the top trainers etc) so there must be money at some clubs and i bet they are all gained from selling trainees and getting far in cup and doing well in league.

Like I said, I am not trying to moan, and wont make any further comments. I really hope that the makers off the game know what they are doing. Would hate to see that in 4-5-6 seasons time, like in hattrick so many managers realise now, after playing for years and years, (and paying for supporter) I will never be able to compete with teams that started 1-2 seasons earlier than me...

I just wondered if it was considered to have staff member skill increases. Typically, you pay people more because as time goes on they gain experience in their given profession. True, not having skill increases lends to the idea of having to replace the guys who don't get better but get paid more, but should every trainer fall into that category?

I think it would make it so the people newer (or just broke) to the game can expect to maybe see that higher level trainer over time instead of the gap I see being widened between the haves and have nots. If this idea was considered and decided against, I'd be curious as to the reasoning in the decision.

I have not made any money this year.

$130k per week in salaries - add on staff and I just break even.

I don't have your exact finances, without the any cup revenue you should be running some kind of profit, say around 50k a week. Based on:

Rev:
last game ~165k
tv - 35K
merch - 30k (total guess, could be off)

Exp
sal - 130k
staff - 50k

No, and it likely won't be. The staff system is designed to create an incentive to change your staff members from time to time, not to cling on to them for all eternity.

I understand ... what I was getting at was with wage increases, you would eventually have to dump them anyway.

And for the record, this was just something I was curious about, and not a complaint in any way. I really like the new staff system since it adds a new dynamic to the game that will lead to another tier of diversity from team to team. Once the initial panic rush of people wanting to lock down new trainers occurs, I could see the prices dropping on these guys significantly ... after all, it's just basic supply and demand.
