whoaa! Lolo Smithz running for the NT! isa lang masasabi ko, he won't be the "Lolo" of BB Pilipinas for nothing. :p

I mean have you had some mail exchanges or have you guys had any discussions about NT or whatsoever? My point is he as the U21 coach is also starting to gain the respect of many local managers and you as our "lolo" which most young and getting not so young (BB wise) like me looks up to. We expect that you guys will coordinate and work hand in hand. Any thoughts on this?

Lolo Smith for Pilipinas NT Manager

> of all the 3 candidates that has applied for the NT Manger this season, only lolo smith has detailed his plans if elected and he has presented some very good points most especially prioritizing 10 slots for pinoy managers in the national team, mentorship and his quote that super corrupt politicians reside in the philippines.

Go lolo smith, go!

very good point, since a strong u21 program will surely benefit the NT, in fact there are also forum suggestions for a u23/24 tournament, thus it is critical to build a strong u21 as foundation.

i surely like the Mentorship program of Lolo Smith, if he becomes NT Manager i hope we have a formal program to be put in place, so that we can create a very active, competitive pinoy BB community.

To answer your question Morwood and I have been friends the first moment he ran the first time for the U21 position and lost. That was three seasons ago.

Managers who train players have this sentimental connection with them. More often those who have NT players that have been with the same managers since their rookies years tend not to sell their players. I asked some of them when they were still league 3 would they consider selling their players because it would be a burden to them and they can't afford their large salaries in the long run and the common answer was if they sold their top player they would rather quit than play on.

So we if can't get PPL teams to adopt our NT players then we make lower league teams train those NT players through the seasons and make them reach PPL or at least league 2. If we can get one of those newer teams with NT potential players to league 2 or PPL each season its already a start to our problem of having our top NT players getting sabotage by other countries.

As per experience with the U21 team not everyone is receptive to the idea of being helped. A considerable number would rather try to get to the top by their own means. Much more fun that way they say and I respect that. But asking for advice isn't a sign of weakness IMHO.

And I would like to say being a National Team Manager doesn't mean you are better than everyone. No there are certainly many more better team managers than me especially those who have reached PPL. I don't know what its like in PPL as said being stuck in League 2.4 for so long. So if anyone of the current PPL teams who are active enough and are willing to help out with mentoring the newer teams it would be greatly appreciated by the Pinoy BB community for sure.

And whether or not our U21 squad does well in the Worlds I would want Coach Morwood to run again. I am normally against managers running back to back but seeing Morwood and his dedication to our U21 program I think he truly deserves another 2nd term.

I agree to that. Continuity of the program can also be a big plus for our team. I also would like to see Morwood re-run for U21 and am hopeful that if Lolo will win the NT post he'll also think of running for multiple terms. I'm thinking dedication-wise sa NT isa sa nangunguna dyan ay si Lolo next one that comes to mind is current NT manager Ph-Cezzz.
