Really important game tonight against Venezuela, after our unexpected loss against Uruguay. Probably the first really interesting game of the season. A win keeps us in contention (we'll have to win against Argentina next week - if the US manage to beat them this week!), while a loss will send us directly to the consolation tournament.
They had 2 wrong GDP, that gives us a slight edge, but it should make for an interesting game. We're up by 13 as of now with MacNeish holding the fort once more

Large 30pts victory on equal effort, while the US beat Argentina by 20points, which means we now have about 30pd less than Argentina, and we'll need a 15points win next week. Hard but possible!

Well, far away, so close (up with the static and the radio...!)
We almost made it to the semis, we were 3 points away but it was the game against Uruguay that cost us the most. We saw how their strategy worked in the end.
I'm quite pleased with how we were able to stop Argentina's bigs after what they did to us in our first confrontation, the 2-3 zone worked a treat despite our bigs clearly being outskilled (look at the rebound stats for example)

Well that's OK, off to the repechage next season! Now starts a few days of scouting to see. As usual if you have a player 20yo or younger, don't hesistate to send me a bb-mail so we can discuss training plans, the new secondary trainers will certainly play a role in the few seasons. I invested in one myself, we'll see how it goes!

In the meantime, a huge shoutout to all the managers for the really great minutes management this season, it's a great relief to not have to worry about that, keep up the good work!

Alright I didn't have much time to scout, so no full stats for now. I might have time to scout a few more players before the enth reset tomorrow, but we're pretty much set for the worlds repechage.
I was pretty pleased to see that some 20yo (now 21) got up to 12 pops last season, awesome job everybody, keep it up, I'm sure there's even more pops in the 19yo.
In fact, among the ~25 players in contention for a spot in the team this season, the worst pops I saw was 5, which in itself is not that bad, better than nothing!

So today a big shoutout to the owner of Gary Maggs (not a canadian team unformatunaly), who managed to get 12 pops this season, and not far behind Mimis Mourikis (also a foreigner), Ricardo Blommaert and Tomas Ross (our great HTG), who got 11 pops each.
Yatuta Moonsamy finished off the list of 20yo (now 21yo) players with 10 pops or more this season.

Now we have 3 really important games to try to make it to the worlds. I'll be honest, we got a bit lucky and we ended up in what seems like the easiest group of the 4, but Lietuva and Malaysia remains really strong competitors (go have a look at Malaysia's monster big Anak Katem) and we'll need all the help we can get (and some more luck with it) to snatch the first place, Monday's game is already decisive! If any of you want to talk strategy or roster, shout me a bb-mail!

Good luck!
U21 is extremely important at this stage seeing that pipeline for NT is drying up so it is great to see that training is going well.

Keep up the good job!

This year's generation is decent, slightly worse than last year but with Abel Paz. Next season's generation is a lot more promising, there are already 2-3 20yo players that have a good chance of making the team this season. We don't have a lot of great players, but the few we have really receive quite good training

First game of the worlds repechage going on right now.
We're on equal effort (didn't want to take any risk there...), running a RnG against LI, should be a high scoring game. Hopefully our 2-3 zone will stop their monster big!
