Thank you.. we will need almada more next week.. turkey gonna be tough on road.. all hands on deck..

one decent perk.. we've moved up to 13th rank world wide. I know most people don't care, but kinda cool. When I took over we were 29th.. so it's a nice thing to have

Boys. Because it's such a huge game this week and very tough one.. feel free to bbmail your ideas to me. I'd welcome some back and fourth this week. We are the big underdogs on the road.. Id' love some feedback about this game.

Thanks.

MC

1)Last real game of season--- Consolation game versus Turkey
We knew they'd be tough and they were. I was surprised they matched our enthusiasm. Clearly they are great, they mopped the floor with a good Pilipinas in the 1st round of the playoffs. Besides the 2nd quarter, it was a really good game. 53-47 in rebounds, not bad. Ball movement played a huge role in this game. WE had a bad assists to turnover ratio (14-6)... whereas they had a 28/8 ratio... Free throw shooting was nice at 20-23... and old guy burimenko who might have seen his last national team game, played great with 19 points off the bench.

2)Scrimmage #1 - Ecuador
It came together last minute but it was a good game for our offense. New face Inclimona, who is auditioning for a gig next year, lit the lamp several times en route to 25 points on 10-15 shooting. The bench and the rest of our depth took over from there. 131-87... not bad .. too bad it's scrimmage .

Major scouting about to start. Thanks for all the support this term. I've felt very welcomed and supported and I appreciate that. I know that I was not a first choice for some of you, and may not have won if another homegrown coach had run last election but I enjoyed it no matter how I got here. I would like to try one more term but understand if some of you may not support that. I gave it my all and have some things to improve, but definitely gave it a good run, especially in the Americas last year..

Cheers

You did a great job don't worry about it.
I think you just need to have a broader 2 (or even 4) seasons plan instead of taking it season by season and trying to win every single game. That's one advantage of the NT, you know what's coming in terms of players and if a team will be on the strong or weak side of things

Yes thank you. I know it only seemed like game to game. but I did what I did because with some of our better players getting older, it seemed as though it was a good time to try to make the worlds. One could argue if Cockayne didn't go bot and we didn't get stuck with a super hard last chance (Poland is killing it at World Cup) my suspicions that we could make the World Cup could have happened.

As it happens, it didn't turn out as planned unfortunately. but I shall take your advice thank you.

That's a win. Good job! How is depth chart looking for next 2-3 seasons?

Thanks a lot. Nice to hear positive stuff. In terms of our depth chart.. I think we are still waiting for some depth to be re-inserted in 2-3 seasons time. Until then, we can role with our usual, while losing a few old guys like burimenko, madiar, king(really key players for us)... and eventually adding a couple new bloods.

If you guys are ok with it, i'd be up for posting top 5-10 per position listing them only in order or total skill points, not giving names away or anything.. just let me know. i'd be happy to.

Thanks as well for all the support. It's been a great experience. I know there are probably some old war horse legends that are wanting to come back and run the NT this year, and that I was lucky last time that I was given a chance to run without having to go against legends, but I'm hoping to get one more term. I'm open to learning from anyone who thinks I need some help and jump on board with me.. but I feel that I have been a positive addition to Canadian BB and unless you think I've done an aweful job , I hope I have support and I appreciate everyting!!

Merci mille fois!!

I think even by name and TSP is fine. Just don't split it between top 6 and bottom 4. Although I guess salaries could reveal that spread......
It won't hurt us and I personally prefer that but that is only my opinion and fully understand if someone disagrees
