Not that bad, but he only can be an SF, and he has some big holes on this skills like rebounding and passing mostly. In my opinion when u want to train an SF who is short then u start from the inside skills, couz younger player=developing faster. Then you can train his outside skills. (Shorter guys develops outside skills faster, and the opposite) I feel that height at least for the big men that i am training height maybe more important than age

A decent player that will be tricky to train. Small forward must be the best to train.

For me he is not possible to use a PG due to horrible passing. He is not reasonable as SG due to horrible jump range and passing as well as handling needs to be better. As SF he will not suffer as much from poor jump range and passing but it will stop him from ever being really good unless you decide to sacrifice a lot of training at him which I don't think you should. Can't be a center or power forward with atrocious rebounding.

Afraid that you will find it difficult to make him that good.

Get his OD up to strong and then his JS and JR up to strong. With those 3 strongs, you might be able to get your money back. He can't play SF with a pitiful ID.. He will be a good SG. peace

Such plan are likely to take at least 12 weeks. I do think that he can earn more money from buying an 18 year old draft and improve that players skill than to train such old and poorly balanced player.

Want to correct myself regarding salary caps. In this message (98371.35) there are a probably pretty correct estimation. Even if salary cap for an allstar is at about 50k I still think that a Hall-of-Famer with low salary and almost 20 is a poor option to train as it will take many seasons to reach 50k and it will probably be very slow training due to age when the salary cap of an allstar is reached and the last 100k should be hunted. But that is just my belief. Now this player has the problem of needing to train some less important skills a lot which will further slow down the progress of the player.

You can make an solid SG out of this player pretty quickly... Just follow this rotations:
3-4 weeks One on One
3-4 weeks Pressure
2-3 weeks Outside Shooting
2-3 weeks Passing

I guess he would look like this in two seasons (in case of no bigger injuries):

Jump Shot: proficient Jump Range: proficient
Outside Def.: prominent Handling: strong
Driving: prominent Passing: mediocre
Inside Shot: average Inside Def.: pitiful
Rebounding: average Shot Blocking: average
Stamina: atrocious Free Throw: mediocre

You can trust me, I trained guards for five seasons...

Prominent outside defense? Is that possible in such short time?

considering that he is 6'9 its really hard. Maybe single position training but i like him more as SF. Complete SF's are so rare, and he has the chance to be great 1. According some formulas that i found here i ve seen that the SF's are good in everything but they dont master something. Now some teams (most of them) they are using converted SG's to SF's but that limits u r playing style. If u like to adapt u r offense depending the opponent then if i was u i would try to develop lots of skills than 3-4

This player needs too much training to be worth the effort. Pitiful Inside def and only average in inside shot and rebounds does not help either. Can't really be a good SF in a reasonable time then.
