Hi all,

just wondering on what peoples experiences with using undersized big men - I'm talking 6"5 and under at C or PF positions.

The type of player has great inside skills but the height of a guard.

I have read before that the game engine does not take height into account and only skills, and that heights are more of a training indicator - is this still the belief throughout the community?

If a 16 RB 6"4 C comes up against a 16 RB 7"1 C there's no theoretical in game advantage derived from height in this match up?

Thanks!

height doesn't matter in the game , just be aware shot blocking and inside defense do matter .

Which is why at one time (not sure if it's the same now?) people preferred small size bigmen because you can train multiskilled players and it eats less into your potential compared to a 7'1" C with 3 extremely good skills and the rest at atrocious or something like that.

But is it still true if you have a small with good overall skills (6-4 and under) that you would want/need to train the big man skills first while the trainee is still young (under 22)?

Height don't impact in-game, but impact training. So you have a higher probability of having a smaller players succeeding as guards and taller players succeeding as centers. Think Charles Barkley. He was a midget but had positioning and strength skills that allowed him to be an excellent rebounder.
