Thank you for giving me the opportunity to handle the Pilipinas NT. I used to tell my BB friends I would never run for NT coz its not as exciting as the U21 but decided to run in the end. I hope I can live up to the expectations of different managers here in pinoyland. Road ahead is not easy I will surely stumble but hopefully we can improve the knowledge of more BB managers and produce better players in the long run. When you have questions ask. I cannot guarantee you will be satisfied with the answer I will give but I try my best to help you.

For newer team managers Buzzerbeater isn't a short term game. Do not expect to succeed right away. It takes four seasons (one year) more or less to be good at this game. Patience patience patience. That is what I want to stress. Sometimes BB is a game of luck. So many factors to consider. So if you fail on your goal this season there is always next season to look after to. Let me share a story of one team last season. That team was suppose to win a league finals but the manager forgot to set the tactics because he was very busy. In the end he lost and was devastated. Call him unlucky and his opponent someone super lucky. Breaks of the game.

In order to perk up interest of our NT scene I am happy to announce we will be having a Prediction Contest. What's a prediction contest? Each game the NT plays there will be a series of questions asked. Every question has its corresponding points. The team who gets the highest total points at the end of our NT campaign for season 29 wins. Up for grabs are two one season Supporter packages (without utopia option) for the top two highest guessers courtesy of our anonymous sponsors.

First game will be on Oct 27. See a separate thread for the contest proper. Hope to see many teams participating in the said event. Good luck!

I will be coordinating with Coach Morwood on the players he had handled in the U21 squad in his two years as managers. We will start from there. Try to see if the managers of those players will be receptive in trying to convince them to train their players more. He should know which are the ones that are easy to talk with.

But my main goal is for lower league managers to start training players for their own team and for u21/NT and help them go up the leagues in order for them to be able to afford their high salaried players. Looking at the current NT lineup which former NT manager Master Cezzz has left me, a considerable number of players are players who I have handled during my stint in the U21 scene. Most of those player are still with their respective managers since their U21 days. We need more of those kinds of managers. The ones that will have an emotional attachment to their players so we can keep those players here in the Philippines and train them to be NT material. I think that is step one.

Problem now is if we have an abundance of NT potential players with high salaries and we cannot accommodate them all. Well we will cross the bridge when we get there as for now its train more and better NT players as of the moment.

Let me share the stats of a current NT player when he was aged 21 so people can have a barometer what it takes to have a NT player. This is Dispo at age 21 at the beginning of the season. Dispo is an all around SF even if he is listed as PF right now.

I hope we can train another all around SF in the near future. Dispo isn't getting any younger. We need to train the next Dispo as soon as possible.
