Hello Luxembourg!

I'm Fwinns, manager of a successful canadian team, and I want to take over your U21 team.
Why you might ask? Well training is an aspect of the game I really like, and it's a shame that not so many teams invest into it. Even what seems like bad draftees could end up really good NT players, and that's what I plan to do.
I don't have any NT experience, so this will be my first, but I've been really involved in my teams for the past year, always setting lineups and strategy according to the opponent.

My plan is to basically communicate with each and everyone of you at the beginning of the season, to have a great vision of what you want to do,an if you want to be involved in training U21 players. And if you do I want to send you every week which position and which skill I think you should train, so that it benefits you and the U21 team.
I don't have dreams of making Luxembourg the next world champion, you have to be realistic, but after 2 years I want a group of 5-10 young players ready to emerge and fight on the other level.

As for choosing Luxembourg, that's only because I was born in France, 10k from the lux border, so I'm kind of going home!

Hello Luxembourg! Now I can hear the whispers starting already, "Who is this American DV idiot who thinks he can coach a U21?" To answer the question, yes; I am an idiot and no, I don't think I can coach a U21. But I'm willing to try.

A little about me: I started this game in season 15, and was barely active. I promoted quickly to DIV, and hung around the US offsite and observed how everything went on. I picked up quite a bit of advanced things, but never really made an effort to involve myself in the community. Eventually, due to other commitments, my team went inactive and I was MIA for about a year. However, I decided to start afresh. One of the greatest appeals of this game to me is the NT/U21 system, is that it forces us to create a community in order to win. I realized that honestly this game is no fun without participating in the community. A DI trophy isn't as much fun if you don't have anyone who you can gloat with. :p

So now I've officially become more active in the community, and hope to really invest and give back to the system. Yes, I do not have a lot of experience in higher leagues, and yes you may call me a newbie if you wish. But I've had the opportunity to see how the U21 works at a high level, and my goal is to attempt to lay some groundwork so that Luxembourg can eventually play as a competitive team.

Take note, if I accomplish anything during my term, it will be small and seemingly minuscule, but what makes an U21 great is not the manager, it's the community. The manager's primary job other than setting tactics is to invest into the community to create a pipeline of players from active managers who communicate and are dedicated to the team. This is a hard thing to do. I can't do it during one short term. But my goal is to continue to cultivate that community for the next manager. Here are a couple of goals that I would like to set for the U21 this year:

1. Not use 2-3 zone. I know this is rather stupid, but I would rather not go into details as to why this strategy is not effective at high levels. True, we are able to contest more shots inside, but that simply allows the opponent to take more uncontested shots on the outside, generally leading to more 3 pointers. The benefits simply do not outweigh the cost. Man to man tends to work best, but we are more free to experiment on offense.

2. More clearly define what kind of player builds we're looking for. It's really helpful to managers if the U21 gives them a template to use so they can kind of see what they're shooting for. It would also be effective to experiment with other player builds. Most bigs have now evolved into ID/RB/IS monsters, who are really one trick ponies just focused on pumping one or two skills, but by the time they turn 22 lose most of their value as they have been poorly trained. Guards these days have become PA/OD junkies, meant only to get the ball into the hands of the bigs. In the interest of future success, it would be in the best interest of Luxembourg to experiment with different player builds to make a more sustainable team with players that can make an easy transition into the NT. The popular player builds now will soon be obsolete, so we must continue to stay ahead of the curve, and be unpredictable.

I'm not a Superman. If I am elected, don't expect radical new players to come bursting out of the ground left and right. Most likely, my record will not reflect well upon my intentions. But I'm not about wins and losses right now, I'm about building up a community that is needed in order for this U21 team to be successful. I'm about laying some building blocks for the next manager after me, and investing in the pipeline 3-4 seasons down the road. If you're looking for a guy to make a quick turn around and assert Luxembourg's dominance, then don't vote for me. But I'm willing to invest into this program to make it a competitor and stronger in the future. We've got a lot of work to do.

Luxembourg,

I have decided after some time that i would like to run for your u21 position. While my counterparts in this thread have made some impressive speeches that outline some problems and solutions that Luxembourg could use continuing forward, I'd like to offer my take what can be done going forward, and what my role would be.

I would like to suggest, much like Aradrad, that my tenure over the next two years will be about building the infrastructure that smallfries has helped establish in his short time as your U21 manager. the U21 serves as the vital piece that not only competes directly with other countries, but also provides a good pipeline of talent going forward that the NT manager can use to improve their lineup as well. Right now, there are not many talents that are being brought up through the u21, and to be honest that is of the greatest concern to me. I would like to get a core group of managers, like is being generated on the offsite, that is willing to develop talent and promote better understanding of training to other members of the country. I would be willing to take on any other manager who is running, and if i do not happen to win the election that i have no problems contributing to the betterment of the U21 program. I have little belief that true success can occur within 2-3 short months of taking over, and believe that we must work as a unit to ensure that by the time season 24 and 25 enters the picture the talent will have improved.

Most importantly, I am a firm believer that building U21 players is a big contributor to becoming a good team within your own right. Many of the teams that have U21's or NT's in other micro-nations, and larger nations for that matter, have generally been more successful than those teams who train their national players on their own. I feel that if we teach members of this nation to build their players more effectively, not only will we promote growth within the national teams but growth within the local competitions as well, making the game more fun.

My plan for season 1 is to seek out members of the local community that wish to contribute but dont know how, and give them an opportunity to learn how to improve their nation. Additionally, i would like to build up a welcoming committee within the country to reach out to newer managers, introducing them to the basics and hopefully bringing them into the national team fold in short order. Finally, i would like to get active members of the community to reach out beyond the current Buzzerbeater group and bring new Luxembourg managers to the country. Getting another 15-20 teams would be a big boost to the potential draft class, but also the potential amount of players we can interchange in games. In season two, i would like to further improve the talent scouting and development on the offsite, to the point where we may rival other nations in our competition that have a larger player base.

Whether or not I am elected, I am convinced that Luxembourg has the opportunity to be a significant threat to other nations within it's pool. I am more than willing to take a full time role, and just as willing to take a backseat to someone else, in the hopes that we can make Buzzerbeater a more competitive place for all.

Hi to all

I promise i will not annoying with projects, targets and so on.

I offer my "italian" experience to Luxembourg Users. I was scout of Ghana and Italy U-21 teams and i train Bigman (14986085)--> my best result as trainee.

I choice Luxembourg only because it isn't a good thing when a local coach receives only 50% of voting, so you may need an help. I offer myself only because 17 season of experience are enough, IMO, for becoming an head coach. Luxembourg will be a springboard if you accept me. I can't promise anything alone, because without you, and your cooperation, i can't do anything.

if you don't choose me, i will offer my experience to the U-21 coach, if he wants, to give him all he needs

cheers

Coach Magic Johnson

Hello Luxemburg managers. I am obviously running for your U21 team thanks to smallfrie(audience applauds)
So what do I bring to the table? I bring an open mind and share the traits some of the other managers running have.

I have had the success of Fwinns and Coach Magic Johnson(as well as the experience). I used to have a BB team in a micronation(first time I gave it a try)Immediately I was competing for the gold

I plan on doing the same as Fury is doing and I'm in D5 like Aradrad.

I plan on building the community up as well as help train players. In my tenure I hope to help Luxemburg build great young talented players so the future NT/U21 managers will have a chance at competition. I hope to build the blueprint for success for future managers. I don't expect to be a contender for trophies but with talent I have seen this country has and it is definitely possible.

Lastly I hope when you vote you don't vote by Division but what each candidate offers you.
