Welcome everybody to Naismith season 21

The Great 8 remains relatively unchanged except for the addition of The Syndicate
On the Big 8 side we have the return of Crystal Lake Executioners, sg united and the first timer, Headless Thompson Gunners to the mix.

Intro yourselves as you see fit =)

welcome guys!! It will be my second season in Naismith. Was quite happy with first one until I realized that 10 wins still put me in relegation series. Luckily I managed to win that one in 3 games. Now I picked up 2 Canadian players and for the first time in my team's history I am on negative (and a big negative) weekly balance. Hopefully I can get far in the cup (still huge negative including cup, but if I get through 6-7 rounds then I won't bankrupt before season ends) and TV contract will be higher than last season. I am hoping to win something big this year, be it a cup or Naismith, and since I dont really like to make additions before playoffs or cup final, I prefer to play whole season with same team. This will cost me a lot, so I will probably be forced to sell all of my players (except Bradshaw). I will probably slow down on training this season since it won't be my first priority, but I will still make sure that I do 2 position training (JR, RB, 1 on 1) and Bradshaw gets full training each week.

Enough about my team. Good luck to all of you (except for the times when you play against me obviously) and have a good season.

Forgot to switch defensive positions so Stronks ended up playing defense at center. What an idiot. Just cost myself a game.

You can say that again. The only position where I don't have a decent backup gets injured in the 1st quarter. I'm not too worried about a couple early losses, but if I don't turn things around soon, I'll have to change my training plans for Stronks.

well, you kind of took care of that :D

really feel sorry for you Griffin, but I am sure you will bounce back soon. Havent had tons of luck lately, but honestly, maybe try balance training and results bit more than just focusing on one? Our division seems to be balanced and you might find yourself in trouble at some point.

Agreed, but I should have won that game. I've been incredibly busy lately and have been rushing to set lineups last minute. For the second week in a row, I played Stronks at C and forgot to switch his defensive duties. So, basically they had mismatches at SF, PF, and C. 2 weeks in a row, I blew it by setting my lineup wrong. And the other game was a 1 point loss with my SF being injured early.

Basically, I have nobody to blame but myself. I should be 3-0 (at least 2-1 because there isn't much I can do about my guy getting injured I guess). It is what it is. It's a long season, hopefully I can get my head out of my arse.

And I really don't want to sacrifice training at this point in the season. If I have to late in the season to make a charge, I will. That's a last resort though. I have no intention of winning the league or anything, I just want to stay in Naismith so I can afford to keep Stronks.

Well, you got a win. Good job. Next week will be very challenging for me. Really need another bot in the cup and nice GS update to be able to fight to keep my perfect record (still unlikely with away game with Beanerz). Plan minimum is 1 win in the league and win in the cup
