What were your expectations for your team going into the season?

Looking at the each teams country and world ranking at the beginning of the season, I expected to win about 7-11 games. Then I figured that I'd have to compete so I went out and spent $$ to improve my roster and now I've exceeded the minimum expectations. I now have 9 wins, and looking at the remainder of the season, I could win at least 12 games because some teams have been hit with the injury bug to key players or they aren't training well; but it probably won't get me into the playoffs.

So what were your initial expectations coming into the season?

I expected to be a little ahead of where I am--nowhere near the playoffs--but maybe competing more solidly for the 5th spot. It looks like I might not make it through relegation now. Good teams out there all around and mistakes get magnified much more quickly here than in Division V. My training regimen has been better the last two or three weeks, but I think it is way too late to save this season.

As an aside, I like the new draft system. Adds a more realistic feel to the game by being able to look at players throughout the season.

You're one tough cookie, I'll tell you that much. It seems that you're in a lot of games but you're missing a piece or two to get you over. We had the highest scoring game this season I believe at 145-141. Whatever strategy you used against me to put up those numbers (even though my defense stinks this year), you should try them in scrimmages to see if that works for the type of players you have. But again, my defense is horrible and I allow just as much as I score. I'm the Golden State Warriors of the league. LOL!!!! I'll be working on that defense for the remainder of the season, for sure.

I haven't looked at the draft system yet. I mean, I have, but it looks a little more complicated than just getting game/visit stats and then going on those stats to reorder your picks. I just don't want to reorder my picks and lose the points given to me because I made a mistake.

he would definitely get you out of negative. i think he is worth over $1.5 mil. he would be worth so much more if he had any defense. why don't you train defense? if i remember correctly Lane Allen didn't have much defense either. small forwards that dont have any defense can only get you so much. he could be worth closer to 3 mil probably if he had even strong or above defense.

We both played FCP in that one and I tried to steal it by going Crunch time--that didn't work as well as I imagined it might. We both had 15 or 20 point leads in that game if memory serves. It was also on National TV, so probably some incentive for the scorers to show off a bit. I'd still like to get some balance in the scoring, but it looks like it will be into next season before I concentrate much there.
