E.P. Rebosura scores 69 points to beat memongs!

Rising Sun Arena, Shizuoka, Japan -- All eyes are in this league match-up between the Fuji Rising Sun and memongs as it was a league televised game. It was a raucous crowd and the stars came out for this one.

In what was supposedly a "patient" game for the Sun, they went mano y mano against memong's "run n gun" strategy and ran all over the gym.

"What a thrilling game," said an spectator. Another fan quipped, "one of the best I've seen in the recent memories." ..enough for the PR to take notice and write an article.

Sun superstar E.P. Rebosura scored a career-high 69 points to beat the superstar back-court of memongs H. Subang and C. Estudillo who scored 41 and 28 points respectively - a total of 69 points - in a highly anticipated match-up between best guards.

This is a statement game for "Rebo" as he registered a stat-line of 69 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals in 44 minutes giving his all to come up with a victory.

"This would have been meaningless if we lost," Rebo said. "I just wanted win."

He was five points short of the Sun record for most points (74) in a game held by Claudio Regala but nevertheless proves his value to the team.

He and Grava are the "heart and soul" of the Sun. Once they "retire", it is league-wide considered that it might be a "painful" rebuild for this team.

The Sun defeated memongs 129-113 and we get the see a great performance by a 34-year old superstar E.P. Rebosura -- this without his "partner" E.J. Gravador who got injured three minutes into the game.
