Dahlia Mavericks, do they need a closer?

Q Arena, Philippines -- The Dahlia Mavericks were there throughout the game but for the third consecutive game, they fell behind in the early minutes of the fourth before losing 95-86 to the Jam All Star.

A look at Mavs previous three games in the 4th quarter:
Bombers @ Mavericks 27-8
Mavericks @ Admirals 34-38 (falling behind early only to catch-up to keep the score close)
and now, All Star @ Mavericks 30-21 (that ultimately cost the Mavs the ball game) in front of there announced 18,986 fans.

"This can't be happening" GM Nicolo Maro was overheard saying when he banged his fist on the door of the home team's locker.

The score was tied 65-all to start the 4th when the All Star's scored consecutive points to lead by as much as 10 points. The Mavs, as is the case the past three games, was doing catch-up the rest of the game.

They were trailing 89-83 and Antonio Sepulveda was fouled before missing two free throws with 42 seconds left. It was also troubling that the Mavs could not secure a rebound, whether fumbling it or the opponent getting an offensive rebound during the last two minutes of the game.

"It was now my turn to be pressured" Sepu said citing Algaba's fumble the last time out.

Teodosio Amante was his usual brilliant self scoring 28 points to lead all scorers but it wasn't enough to lead the Mavs with the victory. "I would rather score zero and get a victory than score a lot of points and lose" he said.

What is ailing the Mavs? Do they need a coaching change? Do they need to acquire players? maybe a closer? After all, its no secret that their team is patterned with the Utah Jazz that their weakness is also exposed by not having that go-to-guy in crunch-time.

It's not that Capuyan, Dimagan, and Sabangan couldn't handle the rock at the end to compliment Amante but with their 3-game losing streak to start their PPL campaign, are they looking for possible changes?
