As DemonHoosier mentioned, perhaps another thread for this was necessary:

"Sounds like a separate thread. I haven't been tracking mine, but they are all over the map and don't always seem related to games played. "

For Example, one of my draftees this year has mediocre experience, while the players on my team who have played in multiple games are much lower...
That seems to be counterintuitive.....
I would think that almost all draftees would come out with awful or atrocious experience.....
Perhaps one of the BB's or the GM's could shed some light on the way experience is doled out to draftees, how it is improved and what impact it has on the game engine....all answers are anticipated to be within reason, as to not give out too much information!! ;)

well i think we should have tied experience and age together... but i don't think its unreasonable for a player to come out of "college" with more experience than some players who have played more total games than they have.

experience means more than just minutes logged.. it means minutes logged in key situations, having the ability to make key decisions.. etc.. and everyone doesn't have to start out on an even playing field.

I think in terms of a gameplay perspective.. having draftees have more degrees of freedom is better than fewer.

so from both a realism and game play perspective i'm not sure anything needs to be changed.

in terms of how it affects the GE, abstractly i'd say experience helps players make better decisions and more accurately assess what is going on.

Doesn't is seem the gain in experience is way too slow? For example, one of my players has ~1500 minutes over 2 seasons (ave of 50+ mins per week). The far majority of those minutes were league, cup, and playoff and he's yet to pop from atrocious experience.

Thanks for the answer....
as to the pops issue. I'm guessing, that if it's set up the way I think it is, different players will pop more frequently than others....with those players who gain experience quicker occuring less frequently and randomly......
I guess it would be like some players learn from their mistakes quicker than others.....
