Well, I guess there were no volunteers to get the thread open!
Now that first economic update is done, I consider the season officially started.

Welcome to the newcomers.

What are your hopes for the season, plans, etc.?

On personal note, I am pleasantly surprised by finances. Significant jump in merchandise and TV contract. Shocked to see salary floor be that high. Thought my team would be ones of most expensive in the league, but that doesn't look very likely.

After promotion from League II, I strenghtened the team on one position, and made one change among the subs. Pretty much 1 for 1 in terms of skills, but with Dupuis being 36, by the end of the season difference in productivity should be noticable. Although there are no glaring holes in the lineup. there are two positions that still need an upgrade, and if right opportunity arises I will make some moves. Goal for the season is playoffs. Priority overall though will be on a cup

My merchandise went up $30000 and it surprised me a ton.

My team got better in depth more than anything else. The three trainees comprise players 5-7 and have greatly helped my team to the point that my 5-8 is better than all of my B3 opponents this round robin.

I would be disappointed if 2/3 occur:

I don't win the Naismith
I don't win the Kumiko Cup
I don't make the F32 of the B3

We'll see how it goes.
Good luck everyone!

Starting the team sell off.

Was on vaca the last 2 weeks. Not a lot of interest in this at the current time.

I'll see how the game engine changes and perhaps that will spark something in me to train up some players differently.

Until then, maybe grab some young guys and help U21 as I fall thru divisions.

Good luck all.

Philosopher Kings with fairly predictable tactics. Just pack it in the middle and good to go!
Now onto a massive challenge on tuesday. Wish first game was at home, but alas, it's not the case.
Will try my best nevertheless. Montreal choosing to normal today will be some help

When you try to take advantage of PK being MIA, you know he's playing LI, and you select the wrong pace in GPD....

Haha, happens to the best of us. Looks like we both made poor choices today.
My GDP is wrong, and also Montreal used extra effort. Probably smart considering stage of the season, but if I did so, it would result in loss next week and lack of assurance of a win today. Hopefully PD isn't too bad after this so with a win at home I can still make it a competition
