And on that note, I think I'm done. I played a default lineup in the last game of the season after having TIEd every freaking game because I just couldn't care enough to log in. I almost sold everyone and fielded a walkover, but I actually put together a real lineup and got thoroughly beaten in a game I deserved to lose. My mistake didn't matter, and that's awesome.

I'm going to play a Princeton in the next game for old times sake. I may remember to log in to watch it. I tip my cap to all you magnificent bastards, and enjoyed the challenge but not enough to spend another three years building another team to try to do this again. I survived an entire season never surrendering 100 points at this level and that's pretty awesome, but doing all that and trying to score from outside? That'll take someone better at this game than me... or a fix to the engine.

Damn. Really hope you change your mind and don’t walk away from the game. What you did this season defensively was incredible, and it’s a damn shame outside focused offenses are at such a disadvantage here. But personally I hope you stick around the site because you’re a great manager who’s fun to gameplan and play against, even if I only had a season against you. With all that being said I respect your decision regardless, just wish it wasn’t the case

I don't blame you. Rebuilds here take so long, and then you run into a dynasty like the Bigshots who have both great players and seemingly, a huge cash stockpile, and you have to rebuild again. Rather than quitting, you could do a rebuild with a minimal amount of attention - logging in once a week or once every 2 weeks, and you'd be training up your next core.

If you do decide to quit though, don't forget you made a big impression here. Your teams were always tough to play against, and you were always very active on the boards. Definitely made my experience more enjoyable. Good luck where ever your attention gets refocused.

Your roster is really interesting. Big props for putting that together and getting this far with it!
I don't know if I'll have the stomach for another rebuild in a season or two when my current team falls off. But I'd put my team on maintenance mode and log in once per four weeks before I let it die off! I've had a couple friends get bored, quit and come back. I can't imagine rebuilding an arena.

If you do decide to throw in the towel, thanks for all you've done here.

I might stick around. Not enough to bother rebuilding, and probably not active but if I've stuck around Hattrick as long as I have without doing anything there for a decade, it'll probably be hard to walk away here too.

I know what they say about those who can't do, but what if they also can't teach? Besides running for office, at least.

I didn't realize I was getting bidwars on a couple players. When I signed out after the last game, it looked like I'd pull in under 4M and I'm instaed over 8. Nice to see a guy I bought at $2000 sell for over $3.3M.

Hell, maybe I will just do a lazy training thing and see if I can get motivated enough to log in. Maybe I can put together a team that can hold teams under 48 at this level - and still lose 2/3 of my games. Doubt it, but if I don't bother with the whole outside offense thing, and still don't bother with inside offense...

Congrats Steve! Over coming HCA in the NBBA and against a well-run team like Marshlands is no easy feast. Awesome job!
