Time for the last hurrah with Jerry Vinson. It's either now or never. I have enough room to get a couple of more players and I got plenty in the bank. So fair warning to you guys who want to promote too

I'm baaaack!!!!....... promote? Just happy to be back in DII. Took 3 seasons, now I have to figure out how to stay.

See some familiar names are still here. Hoping for a good season, looks like it was fairly competitive in season 39.

Welcome to/back to the league everyone! As usual I'm just trying to survive.

I wish there were pigmen. You get a few of these pigmen walking around I'm looking a whole lot better. Then if somebody wants to fix me up at least they could say, Hey he's no pig-man!

Less than thrilled to be leading off with the silver dogs at neutral dmi.

Though studies have shown to all of you newcomers that laying down, resting starters and playing TIE, all while letting me know ahead of time, nets tons of positive karma in my head.

GL to all! and you have to wait and see how your team does a bit before deciding to sell it all - you just got here, dont give up before it starts! the money bonus is big.

So based on a quick analysis of each team by salary (Big 8 in italics) I made some very early predictions. Now, I know salary is not always best guide, but in general a fair indicator I think. Sure some teams will surprise in both directions this season.

1 silver dogs $ 461,561
2 petersburg $ 456,131
3 South Stags $ 449,891
4 Kiwi Sheep Pimps $ 449,224

5 Redbull Lakers $ 429,626
6 Mad about Moldova Mud $ 391,067
7 Footpath_ Leapers $ 380,483
8 Mountain Eagles $ 377,158

9 HipsterBears $ 351,174
10 Blood Kings $ 348,107
11 Winnetka Wizards $ 345,167

12 Technical Fouls $ 320,279
13 GoBias Industries $ 319,788
14 Fern Creek Clerics $ 318,283

15 Pleasant-Team $ 304,378
16 New York Dragons $ 287,519

I think top 8 is a better indicator than total salary as it captures the key rotation players.

1 South Stags $ 434,607
2 silver dogs $ 419,244

3 Kiwi Sheep Pimps $ 407,552

4 Redbull Lakers $ 387,266
5 petersburg $ 381,622
6 Mountain Eagles $ 370,263
7 Mad about Moldova Mud $ 368,015

8 HipsterBears $ 331 412
9 Footpath_ Leapers $ 330,398
10 Blood Kings $ 322,689

11 Technical Fouls $ 313,868

12 Winnetka Wizards $ 304,077
13 Fern Creek Clerics $ 291,344
14 GoBias Industries $ 286,425

15 Pleasant-Team $ 265,834

16 New York Dragons $ 232,700

Based on these numbers looks like there will be a great divide in the great 8, top 5 teams (Kiwi Sheep Pimps, Redbull Lakers, petersburg, Mountain Eagles, Mad about Moldova Mud) will dominate and separate themselves from the bottom 3. It’s looking like a good hard battle for the final playoff spot.

Big 8 on the other hand will be dominated by two teams(South Stags, silver dogs)and everyone else will likely battle for the other 2 playoff spots. Every game will matter to avoid relegation.

League champ will come from the Big 8. Great 8 will dominate the relegation series.

Now prove me wrong….lol

You may end up not being wrong but I've found that salary isn't the best indicator of a team's strengths. I've had one of the five lowest payrolls the past three years and have survived. The first year I won a relegation series and the past two seasons I've been the 4th seed in the playoffs. Clearly I haven't had one of the top teams here but a comparatively low salary hasn't prevented my guys from playing .500 ball.

I wish there were pigmen. You get a few of these pigmen walking around I'm looking a whole lot better. Then if somebody wants to fix me up at least they could say, Hey he's no pig-man!
