Just bought a guy who'll be 33 when the age carries over. How much can I expect him to regress over the next season or two?

It depends. Some players lose skills slowly while others drop skills quickly.

I'm aware of that, just looking for a general average. I'm hoping the guy I just bought can be a starter for 2+ seasons and make a big impact.

Well, I guess that at his age he's not likely to have more than 3-4 drops per season. With a little of luck he should impact your team through 2-3 next seasons.

I've had guys get their first drop at age 35 and i have had guys experience 4-5 drops age 33.
You can't predict this, all the skills drop but it depends on the sublevels when they lose a skill level.

Does it matter if the player has very high skills versus low skills? For example a 150k salary PG vs a 4k salary PG. Maybe high skills tend to drop faster than lower skills. I didn't have many old guys :)

I don't think it matters if skills are high or low, just the sub levels, i could be wrong tho.
