With the market the way it is, I would just punt this season and start a total rebuild.

Ugh you are most likely right. We will have to see how the first 7 go.

I wasn't trying to be doom and gloom but now is a great time to build a team from the ground up. Train some prospects up. Build up the extension tax credit. Build up your merchandise for own draftees. Or Americans. It's what I am doing. I just got lucky being able to stay up last season. I do have the benefit of some old cash.

Well, it was mainly because of this:

While this measure alone might not discourage tanking, a new initiative has been announced by fan clubs all around BB; fans have decided that they will not tolerate long losing streaks if team has the funds to prevent them and will boycott teams that don’t have at least one victory in each third of the season or suffer the consequences of the boycott, severely reducing ticket income! This means that ticket income might be reduced by as much as 50%, depending on current team funds (while poorer teams might not even feel this, rich teams will be affected strongly).

I have a few million dollars in the bank account, so if I don't win one game my fans will hate me. =O

Unfortunately I built my dumpster fire of a team before reading that. So I should have a fun time trying to win 3 games this season haha.

Yeah I think it's a change that they should have told us about a season ahead. I didn't really know they had problems with tanking. It seems like a perfectly legitimate strategy in BB.

The reason I quit my first team a few years ago was because I got knocked out in the first round of playoffs 9 seasons in a row and was tired of only being okay. That seems like the path I started going down with this team so I wanted to make changes. Tanking/rebuilding is how you completely overhaul your team to make a legitimate push to win a few seasons down the road.

Anyone have advice on training guards? Is it best to train the skills evenly? I read that it can be a good strategy to train one-on-one for a full season so that driving and handling get high, and then the other skills will be easier to train because of the "catch-up". Anyone know anything about this?
