It depends on your defense. If you play a lot of 3-2 zone, you almost don't need SB on your guards. But if you play m2m, especially against LI, SB is a gift for your guard. It's not as powerful as SB on the bigs, but it's still enough.
Haek had his best SB season as a guard during Season 27. He had 2.2 blks/game as a PG (11 games - 3-2 zone). Compaired to his best C seasons (S-26 5 blks/game and S-28 4.7 blks/game - also 3-2 zone, 12 games each season) it's low.

http://www.buzzerbeater.com/player/26270986/overview.aspx on the transfer list has 19 SB and has played guard and big this season...

The only games he didn't block a shot in where as PG or SG.

That being said it doesn't mean that his shot blocking capabilities helped in other ways to deter shots or alter them. That's just harder to see.

Is there any evidence of SB helping in other ways rather than blocking shots?

Has anyone been successful with high SB and low ID?

Is there anywhere in the GE (i.e. from people watching games and the text that comes up) where it talks about Help D? I can't remember anything.

Maybe there isn't Help D

You could be a smarty pants and say that you like ice cream too, and you'd be missing the point. :P

As tempting as it would be to respond to this post be only saying ''I like Ice Cream too'' I'll pass...

I get the point, but I just disagree with Wolph. Or... trainerman... I love this game and can't see the 'brokenness' of the game. If anything is broken it's the users and the way they play the game.

I love it too.

We just need to consider it as a game first and a basketball simulation second.
