I have 70+ scouting points but I am picking 8th. Judging by the average expenses on scouting points in the league (11k) the odds of top prospects being still on the board when I pick are slim at best. So, I think I won't spend the points this season. Maybe the next if I dismantle.

I'm picking 8th and everybody has been spending money on scouting points (average is still higher than 10k). I think I have to pass on this season.

Hello, I'm here to give you my own Portuguese help about this Box-Score myth ahah

From what I've seen in this post, boxscores are almost totally random, but this own experience I had this here...and the only 1 I know its true, gives me a totally diferent idea. It totally tells you your player skill, from stamina do ft to passing and shooting %. Of course there might be some lucky stats or unlucky, but thats basketball!

BTW, what stats do you think that could tell you about the potential? Purely luck?

I always look at TOs number. For those 4 TOs (or more), I dont think they are good players, especially big men who could be difficult to train up.

Besides that, if a player has stats in Pts, Reb, Ast, Stl, Blk and have 0 in both PF and TO, they are usually good and high potential (not 100% guaranteed, but 80% sure).

Correct me if I am wrong.

I relate turnovers to handling.

I relate personal fouls to defensive skills.

None of that is "scientific." I'm not sure that potential can de divined from the box score.

This is a link to part of the boxscore from my last game. This player is by far my best Center, Power Forward, or Small Forward. He is currently my best backup PG/SG too. His boxscore is not that impressive, but it was just one game and he did everything I needed him to do.

So I do think draftees' boxscores are randomly generated based off of the draftees' skills, but I also bear in mind that it is just one game.
