I put my centre as a starting SG in this game, who played 48 minutes while grabbed 6 rebounds only. I played him out of position for OD training.

I do not understand while his rating is just 2.5 while points per 100 shots are 118.7. Did he perform good or bad in this game?

Since your goal would be to take a lot of inside shots (LP offense) I suspect that IS and DR shot would be simulated more than normal for all positions and this would be why his PP100 is rather high. The issue of course is getting him enough shots to take advantage of that matchup, which your team didn't do (12 shots).

Rating takes into account the entire ascept of playing the game (shoting, handling the ball, defense, etc.), Which means he looked like a center playing off guard. Did you use a defensive swap to play him inside on D?

So sad to hear that pp100 does not have much meaning at all ...

At age 24 (or 25 in the next few weeks), I hope I can provide some guard-like trainings to improve the situation...

it means the same in real life basketball as well. just because PP100 shots is high, doesn't mean individually a high score.

as a team stat, it does tend to indicate things, but more at a team level, which is why is commonly used a team stat for NBA teams.

Personally it is kinda nice to see what happens, because sometimes it shows you that a particular offense was not as good as scoring as what you think it was, or an opposition player really shut down that position. so sometimes its an indicator for things.

with regards to ur question, you will also notice that the opposition SG has average GS and probably poor defense, so from that perspective, his PP100s would be high.

As Coach Regan said, it shows that there is a matchup that could have been taken advantage of. In the future if you see this same lineup you could run an inside offense with a better SG that has 7+ IS & DR and potentially put up a good amount of points.

The issue in this game was simply your trainee most likely the handling and driving to create shots and may have not had the passing to help keep the offense running smoothly.

I think it means what it means... points per shot. It might not tell the whole story but it makes for good cliff notes.

I also guess one of the reasons why pp100 was so high for my player was because the mismatch of defensive attributes (OD,ID, Blk vs JS, DR, IS). Usually SG could be weak at ID and Blk, so my player who has high IS could have such high pp100.
