So I'm in league V.116 and I've seen some decent players with 18-25k salaries that I didn't get. Is there any point in getting players with salaries that high in an all-bot league or not yet? Also I have an advanced trainer with about an 18k salary but no good trainees. Should I fire him then get another one like him when I get a good trainee? Also, does my roster look okay for my league? Thanks!

You'll do fine with players under 10k in salary. Check out my roster. I am undefeated in my league against bots because I focused on getting what I needed to be successful instead of trying to get all time greats. And I don't have a single player over 10k. From what I saw this season, expensive players are all stars, but you lose depth on your roster.

Also, don't use the GDP against bots. It makes it more difficult to evaluate how your team is doing against different levels of players.

You don't need an advanced trainer. It's nice to have but you can side grade that guy for a guy with the same level, but a cheaper salary or even one level down.

I would spend the next couple of weeks tracking your players and seeing how they play. Also, look to replace any benchwarmers with better potential players with equivalent stats (so you don't get worse) and try to get younger and use your veterans as fill-ins or sell or retire them if you are good at their position.

As has been told to you,you dont need high salaried players in an all bot league.all you need is a decent group of players and maintain their GS.
Apart from that unless you are plannig to train a player, there is absolutly no need for a lvl 4 trainer, so fire him and stick to a level 1 trainer.
Plus if you are not looking to train a particular player, you don't need to focus on his potential, all that you need to consider are his skills, his age and salary.
As i am on my phone right now,i can't check out your roster. When i log in from my computer i will see to your roster.

Please ignore the post above me. Please keep your level 4 trainer because bot league is a very good time to train your players well at different positions.

No, you don't need 18k players in an all-bot league. You'd probably do fine with players in the 10k range.

I've also noticed that the game shape of your players is so-so. The way to keep them in the best shape is to play them 48-75 minutes per week, according to the Game Manual. There is also a consensus that says the best amount is 50-65 minutes. While it doesn't guarantee 9 GS, it does give your players a chance to play better than if they are in 6 or 7 GS.

If you can find a trainer with less salary than your current trainer (like $12k salary), then go ahead. Just make sure that you don't pay too much for him. Also, try to make sure that you get an 18 year old with at least allstar potential.

oh please do tell when i asked him not to keep a level 4 trainer..all I said was to fire his trainer if he is not planning to train any player.apart from that having a level 4 trainer with 18k salary is by no means easy for a div V team.
Also I have an advanced trainer with about an 18k salary but no good trainees.

here's what was posted in the first message of the thread..so please first read the posts correctly before giving your opinions.

I agree he don't need a 18k$ player in dV per say. At same if that player that going to lead till his other player till they get better. It make sense. The point in that, Is to have some offense/defense edge to win a few games.

Maybe not much. Its good lottery ticket to have per say, he can cash it when he promotes for cash, or he can build his players to similar skill build or better, or have him on the bench a as insurance policy for points/defense. For when his players come into the skills he desires/ also ticket money.

It has a some value behind it for his team in a way. While it true he don't need it, it very good insurance policy to have. he can cash it into his team in many differ ways to help himself.. He justs have to be sure, he can afford it while training

Still not good advice though. He should grab at least 1 or 2 good trainees and start training with level 4 trainer in the bot league. Otherwise, what is he gonna do? Train stamina and FT's or not train at all? There are some very reasonably priced players on the market with star or all-star potentials that can be bought and trained for a few seasons at least. Now this is what he needs to do!
